For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $51,200 - $76,800 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Here is an exciting opportunity for a Hybrid position as BIM Revit Designer at the West Chester, OH location.

Overview

The BIM Revit designer is responsible for 3D modeling and creation of the design documents required for the manufacturing of Prefabricated Modular Data Centers. This includes preparing all BIM documentation to build a solution according to customer requirements within time schedule and the defined quality standards. Strict attention to detail, understanding of time constraints, and implications of proper documentation all add up to an effective BIM Revit designer. As part of the engineering team the BIM Revit designer will be working closely with Solution Architects, Project Engineers, Technical Leaders, and Subject Matter Experts. This position holds responsibility everywhere from initial conceptual designs in Tendering to final As-built drawings in Execution. This position offers the opportunity to work hybrid/remote.

Responsibilities
  • Use Revit to define structural, electrical, and mechanical installation design criteria.
  • Demonstrate accurate drafting methods, including visibility graphics, view range, and proper scaling.
  • Utilize basic Revit MEP tools such as the Project Browser, Properties, Type Selector, and inserting various family types.
  • Model Unistrut, cable tray, conduit layouts, and mechanical piping details accurately.
  • Ensure all equipment is modeled correctly according to the bill of materials and associated cut sheets.
  • Collaborate with team members using Autodesk Construction Cloud for project coordination.
  • Perform dimensional, interference, and basic design checks on layouts and sketches.
  • Participate in coordination review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Update models and design documentation per redline markups to reflect As-Built conditions.
  • Utilize Schneider Electric Company standards, templates, and procedures in all design work.

Skills
  • A minimum of 3 years Autodesk Revit MEP experience
  • Three or more years of experience in BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud working in a collaborative environment.
  • Some experience in PTC Creo to create manufacturing pieces.
  • Experience on Building or industrial installations (Cabling, lighting, piping, plumbing)
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office (Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills with the ability to pay a high level of attention to detail.
  • Capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new tools and techniques and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Desire to innovate. Optimizing designs in compliance with relevant regulatory codes, standards, and best practices
  • Ability to fluently communicate in verbal and written English.


Preferred Experience
  • Data Center critical infrastructure knowledge (Power, Cooling, Monitoring)
  • Building or industrial installations (Cabling, lighting, piping, plumbing)
  • Able to read electrical single lines and panel schedules.
  • Familiar with cooling designs and the ability to properly model ducts and piping
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code as it pertains to clearances and egress paths.
  • Autodesk Certified Professional
