Candidate will be working with HW and SW engineering teams to support the SW platform and device level integration needs for research, development, test and release. Responsibilities include set up of virtualized servers for installing, configuring and maintaining several SW platforms for reading energy and power quality information. Responsibilities also include the selection and configuration of field level protocol-based devices and gateways to integrate back into the overall system architecture. The position will also require understanding of data transfer (HTTP(s) Protocols) and translation techniques (ETL) such as DB to DB, CSV to DB or use of Web Services (REST & SOAP) to transfer data.
Education Required:
• Four-year IS or CS degree required

• IT Certifications are a plus
• Knowledge of energy management domain is a plus
Technical Experience Required:
• Strong knowledge of Modbus, HTTP(s), BacNet, OPC UA protocols
• Experience with communications over RS-485 and Ethernet
• 3+ years' experience with field-based devices such as metering devices and protocol gateways
• 2+ years' experience with configuring windows and/or Linux based servers and supporting web applications
• 2+ years' experience configuration of large corporate network and associated applications
• Experience in server configuration & management (MS Server, VMWare, MS SQL Server, etc.)
