Own the project control activity globally and drive consistent functional specifications and common global processes for projects implementation. Activities that are conducted to better understand or ultimately meet the expectations of the customer Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

• Supporting Sales Managers across Europe in customer demonstrations and working to influence customers' specifications.

• Supporting Commercial Managers to respond to customer information requests, clarify customer requirements and configure technical proposals accordingly.

• Reviewing customer issued RFQs and other documents to produce technical compliance statements against defined requirements (possibly calling upon subject matter experts to supplement his/her own knowledge where necessary).

• Liaising with Product Management and Engineering teams to understand and influence product roadmaps in relation to customers' businesses and technical requirements.

• Keeping abreast of customers' IT, SCADA and communication infrastructures to ensure correct product configurations are made at proposal stage.

• Interfacing with customers and partners as the technical M&D expert for Europe, explaining how M&D product, technology and services fit into the customer's business and asset management strategy.

• Providing M&D product trainings to Sales Managers and partners across Europe

• Represent GE at national and international trade shows.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (with focus on HV engineering) or Mechanical Engineering (with focus on Energy technology or similar)

• 3+ years of experience working in or servicing the energy industry with significant focus on management and monitoring of power transformers

• Analytical individual with capacity to multi-task and appropriately prioritize tasks

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Willingness to travel

Desired Characteristics

• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

• Experience in relation to electrical grid infrastructure

• Experience with configuring and customizing electro-mechanical system

• Highly effective organization and communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to work under time and resource pressure

• Credibility and the ability to work in cross-functional teams

• In addition to English other European languages such as French, German, Spanish or Russian will be a plus

• Full current driving licens
