ThisrolewithinRareBloodDisorders(RBD)PatientServices:
  • The Therapeutic Education Manager (TEM) is a key field-based member of the US Rare Blood Disorders Patient Services team.The TEM provides disease and product information and on-going support, when appropriate, to CAD and aTTP patients.
  • The TEM establishes and maintains a strong working relationship withtheinfusionstafftoprovideeducationtoensureaseamlessinfusionexperienceforpatients.He/sheis a subject matter expert on disease state, product, administration and services.
  • The TEM works collaboratively with cross-functional team members to facilitate timely and on-going access to therapy.
  • TEM'smustalsoensurefullcompliancewithallcorporateandindustrypoliciesandlegalandregulatory requirements, for all field activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

InfusionSiteEducation(50%)
  • Educateinfusionstaffondisease,product,procurement,administrationandsupport services in accordance with approved resources post prescription and/or shipment
  • Educatehomehealthcareproviderstoensuretheyarewell-educatedpriortotreating prescribed patients with approved resources
  • Developandmaintainaccountplanstosupporton-goinginfusioneducation.UtilizesCRMto manage territory and record activities
  • Conductingeducationalprogrammingwithinfusionstaffutilizingapprovedresources

PatientAssistance(20%)
  • Ensurethepatientiswelleducatedanddoesnotfaceunnecessaryfinancialbarriersorsite of care issues to therapy
  • Communicateanybarrierstoenrollmentandtherapytotheprescriber/officestaff.Seekto reduce overall cycle time for prescribed patient starts
  • Collaboratecross-functionallywithotherfield-basedteamsandcasemanagerstosupport patient access, enrollment and appropriate adherence to prescribed therapy.

PatientEducation(30%)
  • EngagewithCADandaTTPpatientstoeducateondiseaseandproductusingapproved resources
  • Conductbrandedandunbrandedpatienteducationprograms(liveandvirtual)forCADand aTTP patients using approved resources
  • Supportappropriateon-goingadherencetoprescribedtherapy
  • IdentifyopportunitiestofurthersupporttheCADandaTTPcommunities,including representing Sanofi Genzyme at local patient events
  • MaintainaccurateandtimelydocumentationofpatientengagementwithintheCRMsystem

About you

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS Degree is required, a nursing or clinical background is required; an advanced degreeisaplus.TheTEMisnotthepatient'smedicalprocessional,however,andmustnot be involved in care decisions or to provide medical advice.The patient should always be referred to his/her provider for medical advice
  • Previouscommercialand/orclinicalexperience(hospitalorhomehealth)withIVinfusionsis required
  • Previous3-5yearsaccountmanagementskillsand/orpatienteducationindustryexperience preferred
  • Priorproductlaunchexperiencepreferred

RequirementsoftheJob:
  • Ability to travel up to 80% within a territory is required; ability to travel to meetings/trainings/programsasnecessary-additionaltravelwillberequiredwithinthe assigned geography
  • ValidDriver'sLicense

The salary range for this position is $100,500.00 to $160,000.00 USD Annually. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
