Fully digitalized, our Evolutive Facilities (EVF) will enable more responsive and flexible manufacturing across multiple vaccine and biological platforms including mRNA, while minimize our impact to the environment. Our EVFs will help improve people's lives by giving them faster access to more treatments.

Main responsibilities:

Manage the cost estimate of investment projects during the Evaluation phase, Feasibility phase, Conceptual Studies and Basic Studies:
  • By analyzing partial cost estimates established by the project team and consultants
  • By self-performing cost estimates (full or partial) as required
  • By aggregating cost information and identifying the necessary provisions to cover technical risks and contingencies with the appropriate methodology (e.g. monte-carlo simulation)
  • By preparing the cost estimate validation meeting and by issuing the final approved cost estimate synthesis according the M&S standards.
  • By updating the project tools (SHINE...)

Ensure the project cost control during the engineering through execution project phases:
  • By coordinating the project cost controls efforts on large, complex projects (100+ M€)
  • By establishing the budget breakdown from the approved capital appropriation, from elements contained in the cost estimate and following company accounting rules
  • By following the commitments and the work-in-place and by issuing a monthly dashboard
  • By issuing project cost data and the metrics associated in a timely manner
  • By actively identifying and managing deviations or variation from baseline, analyzing the cost impact and managing the gap
  • By alerting the engineering project manager and project leader of deviations and by proposing corrective actions
  • By ensuring compliance to project transfer and change management procedure.
  • By using the standard cost control tools as well as time-and-material (T&M) based and milestone (deliverable) based progress methods
  • By establishing regularly cost trends and by determining the cost estimate at completion of the project
  • By reconciling regularly the comparison between the project reports and with the ERP.
  • By responding and complying to the Finance requirement including budget, trend, closure...
  • By updating the project tools (SHINE...)

Establish the end-to-to end project schedule according to the project scope:
  • By analyzing the project planning requirements
  • By defining the schedule objectives with the project team
  • By setting up the schedule strategy including necessary float
  • By gathering existing data (ex. benchmarks) and by integrating sub project schedules
  • By splitting the project structure into consistent parts following a work breakdown structure
  • By establishing the project detailed schedule with the collaboration of project actors and inform them of short-term, middle-term and longer-term actions
  • By integrating the partner schedules as required to build an integrated schedule
  • By developing activity sequencing, resource estimating, activity duration estimating
  • By updating the project tools (SHINE...)

Ensure the end-to-end project schedule control during the project life cycle phases:
  • By coordinating the project schedule controls efforts on large, complex projects
  • By developing the schedule control tools and measuring on a regular basis the physical progress (earned value)
  • By following up the schedule performance index notably the progress of milestones
  • By actively identifying and managing deviations/variations from baseline, analyzing the schedule impact and managing the gap
  • By warning the engineering project manager and project leader of deviations and by proposing corrective actions and ensuring follow up of actions
  • By ensuring compliance to project change management procedure.
  • By supporting the engineering project manager and project leader on scope changes and in the integration of the associated impact
  • By establishing and regular reporting on the schedule dashboard (general overview, schedule level 2...)
  • By establishing the general and detailed schedule progress curves
  • By updating the project tools (SHINE...)

Coordinate the project controls team members throughout the end-to-end project lifecycle as well as ensure the interface with other relevant functions:
  • By coordinating the project controls team members (internals and externals) on the large, complex projects
  • By evaluating the competencies of costs and schedules project team resources and advising the Project Controls Head
  • By participating in costs & schedule/Technical/Value Engineering/Risk analysis Reviews
  • By evaluating and co-validating with Project Leaders Cost/Schedule/Good Engineering Practices risks mitigation actions
  • By ensuring with the Projects Leader the implementation and the follow up of the mitigation actions
  • By alerting the project manager and project leader on timelines slippage, cost and budget concerns.
  • By assisting the project leader in organizing and facilitating project meetings, gate reviews.
  • By providing a regular project reporting based on pre-defined KPI's and major deliverables.
  • By ensuring a link with Project Management Function including the end-to-end (E2E) project leader and E2E project control

About You:
  • Engineering degree with 15 years of experience within an industrial environment, ideally within the engineering, or another technical area or project management. Knowledge/experience in the chemical and/or pharmaceutical areas is preferred.
  • Significant experience as a project controls manager (PCM) on large industrial investment (CapEx) projects
  • Competencies for managing a team and building transversal interfaces
  • Good relationship-building skills and good communication skills through all levels of an organization
  • Customer centric / Results oriented / Teamwork mindset / Clear thinker
  • French language skills would be considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills ans ability to influence and build relationships across both internal and external program/project.
