Global Finance Services (GFS), one of the pillars of Sanofi's Business Operations organization, is setting up a Global Hub in Hyderabad to provide various Finance services.

Intercompany Accounting is a complex environment with many departments involved, different solutions and different sub-process. Accordingly, and in line with best practices, Sanofi decided to create an integrated intercompany Center of Excellence (CoE) combining a deep knowledge in business processes, technical expertise, and software delivery with a passion for user experience. It is now planned to operate this Intercompany COE from a Global Hub which will be in Hyderabad. This role is reporting to the Interco CoE Operation Manager based in Hyderabad.

Main responsibilities:

  • Address operational issues and follow through to resolution in an effective and timely manner. Assist in standardization and common platform implementation in close cooperation with the manager, and the continuous improvement team. Timely basis general follow up outstanding operational items/issues. Involve in migration and ad hoc projects. Support business control testing requests and other internal audit requirements. Support implementing systems, procedures changes. Act as escalation point when issues arise and provide solution in a timely manner.
  • Deliver intercompany accounting services to Interco CoE Operations - Reconcile intercompany accounts, analyze, and solve discrepancies and declare in netting system. Execute in compliance of processes, transactions and reports with Sanofi accounting policies, internal control guidelines and audit / SOX requirements.
  • Manage the accounting and reporting of intercompany accounts. Develop expert level knowledge of the activities in scope as well as local knowledge of entities in scope and become a super-user. Complete all activities as per the global Core Model and operational KPIs.
  • Assist as supervisor in managing a team (up to 30 colleagues) to achieve team's/department's goals. Provide expertise and coaching. Active participation in the selection of new employees and set their onboarding plan. Evaluate employee performance, determine training needs, develop talent. Address performance issues and make recommendations for personnel actions, Shape and promote a culture of collaboration, trust, and teamwork, throughout the team through leadership and effective communication. Focusing on employee retention and engagement, advises actions to management in this relation.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities through elimination of redundant activities. Participate in process automation initiatives and ensure seamless adoption and transition. Deep system knowledge development in order to contribute to the processes improvements as key user. The Interco Coe Team lead reports to Interco Operation Manager and works closely with Finance (Controlling, P2P, Internal Control), Customer Services, Supply chain, procurement and other SBS streams contacts.

About you

  • Experience: Around 10 -15 years of experience in ICO/Accounting environment preferably in an international multicultural environment (advantageous).
  • Functional: Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs. Hands on expertise intercompany processes/complex accounting processes and activities (essential) Knowledge of GL accounting and reporting (essential) experience in working within a Business Services organization (advantageous) Good business acumen, Strong problem solving, deductive and analytical skills. Ability to organize, prioritize and structure the tasks for oneself and direct reports. Action oriented, delivery driven, change agent.
  • Technical: Hands on knowledge of SAP FICO and other accounting applications. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and expertise of MS Excel.
  • Interpersonal: Ability to interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner. Team player, able to work collaboratively transversally and with A2R front line teams with an end-to-end mindset. Good communication skills. Attentive to customer needs and feedback.
  • Leadership: Team leader/team coordinator experience. Action oriented, delivery driven, change agent (advantageous) Role model / coach to junior analysts (advantageous)
  • Education: Graduate degree in accounting or finance
  • Languages: Fluent in English
