As Molding Engineer within our Global Device and Packaging Unit you will be responsible for plastic materials and injection molding activities ensuring robust and reliable manufacturing of Sanofi's medical device components.
Main responsibilities:
- Establish security of supply for plastic raw material by dual sourcing and supplier management
- Support CMO on molding and tooling technology
- Drive deployment of scientific process development and digitalization of molding process.
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)
- Lead & follow up initiatives for GDPU incl. improvements and crisis management
- Manage requests & analysis to/from CMO, OEM, internal & external 3rd parties
- Author technical guidelines, reports, profitability analysis and file change controls
About you
Education:
- Bachelor in engineering (e.g. plastics, mechanical) advanced degree is a plus
- Degreed Engineer with 5 years relevant experience in plastic raw material and injection molding technology. You should be familiar with development or manufacturing of Medical Devices in the pharmaceutical, or related industry.
Soft and technical skills:
- Presentation and communication skills to efficiently convey information and influence decision making. Ability to build partnerships and negotiate/influence outcomes to achieve desired solutions.
- Solution oriented, takes responsibility for decisions and focuses on results
- Team orientation / team player with excellent communication skills, willingness for transversal cooperation across functional boundaries / departments
- Self-reliant and systematic way of working, proactive in driving of changes / optimizations in the area of delegation
- Strong technical expertise in plastic materials, plastic part and mold design. and injection molding process development with working knowledge of scientific molding principles.
- Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience in equipment qualification and process validation of high throughput equipment
Languages:
- Fluent in German and English language, French is a plus
- Willingness to travel (25% of working time)
