Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst for Resin Molding will contribute to the strategic direction, development, and management of the Resin Molding category across TE Connectivity. The role will require a strong focus on critical aspects of the business, including developing long-term strategies to support TE's growth and manufacturing footprint, make vs. buy decisions, regional supplier segmentation, enterprise productivity, supplier development in key growth areas, process improvement, and quality optimization.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute the strategic plan for the Resin Molding category that aligns with the company's overall vision and goals
  • Execute Make vs. Buy strategy for the Resin Molding category in collaboration with TE's Segments, Business Units, and cross-functional teams
  • Oversee the implementation of Resin Molding category, including identifying new opportunities for growth and expansion
  • Drive projects to optimize the manufacturing footprint for the Resin Molding category to ensure the highest levels of efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Implement enterprise productivity initiatives across the Resin Molding category to drive cost savings and improve overall performance
  • Foster supplier relationships in key growth areas and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier alignment with the company's strategic objectives
  • Drive process improvement and quality optimization initiatives across the Resin Molding category to ensure the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction

What your background should look like:

• Extensive knowledge of sourcing, strategic sourcing processes, negotiation experience

• Experience in commodity management of Molding, esp. thermoplastic and rubber

• Demonstrated experience with leveraged agreements, multi-year contracts

• Strong data mining and analysis skill set

• Demonstrated ability to create and execute a vision, as well as an ability to work within larger organizational objectives

• Self-directed & motivated

• Ability to multi-task projects and assess priorities in a complex and demanding environment

• Possesses excellent verbal and written communication & presentation skills

• Bias for action/self-starter

• Demonstrated program management skills and ability to drive projects to completion

• Ability to travel and work in a virtual environment

• BA/BS in Business or other relevant discipline. 5+ years of relevant Sourcing experience
