Main responsibilities:

  • Support and implement Market Access strategies, plans and tactics for products and solutions throughout the lifecycle to ensure optimization of the recommendations, prices and access in line with the business priorities and strategic Pharma/Vaccines ambitions.
  • Pre prepares analysises on which the commercial decisions are taken in relation to prices, recommendations, and funding include Market Access perspectives. Manages the the approval flow for all price decisions and tenders and prepares the submissions for price, recommendations. Will also support key X-indication initiatives, to optimize the franchise value and promote Excellence in Execution at national level.
  • Supports evidence generation related to Market Access and ensure alignment with the business priorities, needs of the market, and the Global Brand Strategy
  • Supports the development of early Market Access potential for the new product portfolio
  • Supports and participates the relevant Authority negotiations together w the Country MA Head for the best possible access and pricing according to approved commercial and access strategies.
  • Maintain an expert level understanding of relevant recommendations, pricing and funding criteria used by payers in the market to make informed decisions about Market Access strategies, plans and tactics. Actively scans the environment, including legislative, for emerging trends and identifies future risk withing the SANOFI TRT concept.
  • Anticipate potential changes to Pricing & Reimbursement environment and implement strategies to minimize the risk and resulting negative price reference impacts.
  • Establish relationships with key officers at (National Organization for Medicines) related to pricing and reimbursement issues.
  • Ensure on time submission to the Authorities of the requested data for the price revisions as well as the supporting documentation for the appeals (for country)
  • Manage the preparation and submission of price applications for the relevant products in close collaboration with all relevant departments (Business, Regulatory, Trade) - secure that the proposed by EOF prices are aligned with our assumptions.
  • Manage GPS database and ensure it is up to date (for Country).
  • Provide input and guidance to business and to cross-functional teams regarding pricing, reimbursement and rebates issues (e.g. timelines for pricing and reimbursement of new products, changes in patients' co-pays).
  • Present company's appeals at the relevant Authorities after any price revision and the issuance of the draft price bulletin, in order to achieve price corrections.

About you

  • Experience: Confirmed experience in a similar function in pharmaceutical industry
  • Soft and technical skills:
    • Knowledge of existing and emerging market access stakeholders and influencers for Pharma products (e.g. recommendation decision-making and process, tenders, public or third-party financing) and understanding of the evolutions/implications for business
    • Demonstrated experience in scenario analyses (e.g., target patient population options, price/access trade- offs, co-payment sensitivity and portfolio optimization modelling into price and launch sequence recommendations) related payer value proposition, evidence requirements, pricing and access potential for each scenario to shape disease area and commercial strategy as early as phase I or in-licensing to maximize commercial potential.
    • Profound knowledge of the success metrics of how the value proposition are delivered to payers (i.e., requirements to command certain benefit ratings, P&R outcomes, reimbursement coding)
    • Understanding of payers value drivers and anticipation of payers objections
    • Experience in development of integrated market access & payers strategies and plans, aimed at delivering the product differentiation most relevant to payers
    • Track record of delivering payers relevant tools with positive measurable impacts
    • Experience of health economics analysis and how the value proposition is delivered to key recommending bodies and payers
  • Education: Master's degree e.g. in health economics, pharmacology or similar preferably complemented with an MBA
  • Languages: fluency in English and Polish required
