You will be a part of the Europe Business Analysis & Controlling Center of Excellence (CoE) within the Opella Global Finance team, aimed at building a best-in-class BA&C organization supporting European countries of the EULA Region. This CoE, strategically located in Budapest, provides high-quality finance services for Commercial Operations, ensuring improved processes, tools & enhanced user experience, strengthens business focus and BA&C expertise, as well as promotes simplification, harmonization and automation within the Opella Finance organization.

The main focus of the BA&C CoE team is P&L execution, including Actuals closing, forecasting, reporting & analysis as well as partnering to local Finance Performance Leads & Business stakeholders.
Job Purpose:
- Be a trusted ally of the Regional BA&C Lead, Regional Head of Financial Performance responsible for Europe & Latam (EULA) providing BA&C support such as consolidation & monitoring of EULA performance, making financial assessments, tracking relevant performance indicators.
- Consolidate EULA region financial results & performance analysis for EULA Leadership team in close collaboration with Americas BA&C team.
- Act as a finance business partner for Europe HQ perimeter, contributing to business decision making processes across Europe zones working closely with the Regional BA&C Lead, Regional Business Head and Regional Head of Financial Performance.
Consolidation & Performance Monitoring
- Consolidation of EULA region financial results & performance analysis in close collaboration with Americas BA&C team.
- Provide on-time and accurate financial analysis to EULA BA&C Lead, EULA Head of Financial Performance, EULA Business Head as well as whole regional non-finance team, sharing insights and clear explanations on variances vs previous periods and forecasts, ensuring a 'no surprises' environment.
- Support EULA BA&C Lead, EULA Head of Financial Performance, EULA Business Head as well as EULA regional teams in the analysis of monthly figures and follow up of Performance reviews.
- Provide in depth analysis on evolution of Sales, SIT, Gross to Net, DSO, cash flow, cost drivers by nature, resource allocation and profitability. Driving portfolio rationalization, innovation, and ecommerce analysis with business teams.
- Ensure business reports and performance review decks are shared on-time and with accuracy, in compliance with the reporting calendar issued by global and regional teams.
- Drive the rationalization and standardization of management reporting to increase efficiency.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and support on transversal projects, leveraging finance network.
- Acting as a finance business partner for Europe HQ perimeter.
- Leading forecast exercises for Europe HQ perimeter.
- Manage the annual business plan including all recurring forecasting exercises promoting Rolling Forecast culture & leading monthly Business Planning process across EULA region in close collaboration with Americas BA&C team (reconciliation meetings of zones, valorization in TM1, R&O management, etc.)
- Operate as a link between Europe and Americas BA&C team as well as local, regional, and global finance teams, communicating consistent guidelines and key milestones in close collaboration with Americas BA&C team.
- Coordinate forecast with EULA BA&C Lead, EULA Head of Financial Performance, Americas BA&C team as well as EULA Business Head: based on Global guidelines and ambitions, prepare for the reviews with Global BA&C, ensure consistency of information and data, consolidate risks and opportunities for EULA.
- In cooperation with Americas BA&C team, review consolidated forecasts submitted in systems to provide insights of the Regional Performance and support management decision making process.
- Together with Americas BA&C team, cascade BA&C policies and tools, supporting country, zone and regional finance teams on all questions related to reporting systems.
- Co-maintain master data of regional managerial structure liaising with global BA&C for requests concerning geographical and product master data.
- Support finance and business teams in Europe zones in case of data inconsistencies and questions in systems and reporting.
- Ensure data quality and homogeneity across all Europe zones (Gross to Net, Gross Margin standard analysis -price/volume methodology, etc.)
- Experience: 8-10 years of work experience preferably in Corporate Finance or Accounting environment
- Soft skills: Strong rigor and ability to multi-task and to organize, manage and prioritize deadlines, Able to work in a multi-cultural, fast-paced and demanding environment, adapting to different requirements from each country in the region, High level of interpersonal/ communication skills with an ability to communicate and present at different levels of the organization, Ability to lead stakeholders through influence including demonstrated facilitator skills, Collaborative and proactive attitude, comfortable when interacting with senior leadership, Business analytical skills, being able to understand how market drivers impact financial performance, presenting complex information in a simple manner, Strategic thinking and process impact understanding.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Excel, ERP (e.g., SAP), reporting tools (e.g., TM1) and data visualization platforms (Power BI, Qlik sense, etc.)
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance is required, ACCA and/or CIMA, CFA is preferred
- Languages: fluency in English is required.
