The Deputy Director Project Controls performs the project controls tasks and deliverables of investment (CapEx) projects in accordance with the application of good engineering practices and the Global Engineering Guidelines (GEG) of the Project Controls domain.

Key Accountabilities
- Expertise in Cost Management, Scheduling, and Earned Value Management System (progress reporting).
- Experience in projects ranging from $10M to $200M.
- Knowledge of SAP-type financial systems and project financial reporting.
- Understanding of financial policies and procedures for capital projects.
- Familiarity with purchasing procedures and contract management.
- Interaction with A/E and CM firms for change orders, invoice review, and resolution.
- Oversee preparation of funding estimates and schedules for new projects.
- Facilitate risk analysis and ensure benchmarking metrics for new projects.
- Develop and maintain spending and progress curves, track manpower productivity.
- Responsible for monthly SHINE updates and ensuring PC project deliverables.
- Maintain current training in PM and PC procedures.
- Perform audits to ensure accurate reporting of man-hours and progress.
- Experience in developing EVM for engineering design, construction, and C&Q phases.
- Coaching and mentoring junior staff.
- Ensure compliance with Sanofi Pasteur Global Engineering standards and procedures.

Scope and Dimensions
Assigned to Regional Engineering projects (typically at Swiftwater, PA or Framingham, MA sites). Ability to lead cross-divisional and cross-functional teams, coordinate capital planning and forecasting, and support business process improvements.
About You
Education and Experience
- BS in a (non- Information Technology) technical discipline such as Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture with over 10 years in an industrial environment required (biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred).
- Significant experience as a project controls manager (PCM) on large industrial investment (CapEx) projects with over $10M required.
- Proficiency in SAP software and project financial liaison experience.
- Advanced Excel skills required (PowerBI experience a plus).
- Competencies for managing a team and building transversal interfaces.
