We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI, LLMs, and machine learning models, and will be responsible for providing technical leadership to the team as well as contributing hands-on coding expertise.

• Provide technical leadership and direction to the data science team.
  
• Collaborate with the project lead to define project goals and strategies.
  
• Design, develop, and implement AI and machine learning models to support our information retrieval engines for diverse molecular and imaging data types.
  
• Lead the development and optimization of large language models (LLMs) for various applications within the project.
  
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists and team members.
  
• Work closely with data engineers, bioinformaticians, and developers to integrate AI/ML solutions into the overall project architecture.
  
• Communicate technical concepts and project updates to stakeholders and team members.
  

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
  
• 3-5 years of industry experience in AI, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs).
  
• Proven track record of leading data science projects and teams.
  
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks (PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.).
  
• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and data processing tools.
  
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
