What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to take on a product ownership role. As a Product Owner, you will play a key role in driving automation and process efficiency improvements across our organization. Your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around modernizing and streamlining service delivery by leveraging cutting-edge platforms and working within Agile and SAFe frameworks. You'll act as the bridge between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring that business priorities are translated into actionable deliverables that align with strategic goals. This work will shape how new capabilities are delivered, ensuring they drive meaningful impact across the organization while supporting broader strategic objectives.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Refine backlog items based on feedback from diverse stakeholders
- Coordinating efforts to expand digital engineering capabilities
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters and development teams to plan sprints or program increment (PI) events
- Lead collaborative sessions to gather requirements, foster strong relationships with stakeholders, and champion continuous improvement initiatives
The selected applicant can work a combination of onsite and offsite work. The selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.
Salary Range:
$114,000 - $227,500
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, plus 5 years related experience; or equivalent (AS + 9 years or no degree + 13 years)
- Included in the experience above:
- At least 2 years of experience in a product ownership (or similar) role focused on agile process improvement and/or automation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance
Qualifications We Desire:
- Experience leading agile teams fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability to grow high performing teams that consistently deliver value
- Understanding of Agile and SAFe frameworks, including backlog management and PI planning
- Ability to identify opportunities for automation and delivering innovative solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, tailoring the message appropriately
- Strong collaboration and negotiation skills to secure buy-in from diverse groups, including senior leadership
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting modernization initiatives to enhance digital engineering platforms or large-scale application offerings
- Ability to integrate new solutions with existing systems to create cohesive, forward-looking processes
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or SAFe Product Owner certifications are beneficial
- Understanding of ITIL and ITSM principles and their practical application in IT service delivery
About Our Team:
The Product Realization Technologies Department (9353) is dedicated to developing and managing essential enterprise applications that support the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE). Our primary focus is on ensuring the secure and efficient management of critical data related to product realization and assembly processes. We are responsible for creating and maintaining systems that authorize, release, and exchange product definitions, as well as collect and maintain production assembly and disassembly information. These systems ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitate collaboration among engineers and support personnel across multiple NSE sites.
In addition to our product realization responsibilities, we also conduct IT Service Management (ITSM) services within the NSE. Our teams deliver and manage IT services that support the operational needs of the organization, ensuring that IT services are efficient, reliable, and aligned with the strategic objectives of the NSE. By implementing best practices and leveraging innovative technologies, we enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our IT operations.

Security Clearance:
