What Your Job Will Be Like:
Our team is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect with extensive knowledge and experience across multiple information systems domains, including operating system testing, deployment and upgrades, hardware evaluation and specifications, encryption, remote access, networking, and cyber security. This role will serve as the lead of our Mac and Mobility Common Operating Environment (COE) teams, responsible for overseeing the service management and deployment of MacOS and iOS devices within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Apple technologies, demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities, and have a proven track record in evaluating technology advancements. A strong passion for delivering outstanding user experiences is essential for success in this position.
On any given day you may be called on to:
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of Mac and iOS deployment strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and user needs
- Oversee the end-to-end service management process for Mac and iOS devices, including provisioning, configuration, and support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain policies and procedures for device management, security, and compliance
- Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to enhance the deployment and management of Mac and iOS systems
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Act as a primary point of contact for escalated issues related to Mac and iOS management, ensuring timely resolution and user satisfaction
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Apple products and mobility management and provide strategic insights to leadership
- Develop and deliver training and documentation for end-users and IT staff on Mac and iOS best practices
- Interface with procurement and vendors to evaluate, negotiate, and manage services and products related to Mac and Mobility, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality
- Evaluate and propose solutions to complex technical problems such as encryption and operating system testing, deployment and upgrades
- Report on progress and advances to peers, management, and stakeholders
The selected applicant can be a remote worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location may be required.
Salary Range:
$114,000 - $227,500
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a relevant field plus 5 years of experience; or equivalent (AS + 9 years of experience or no degree + 13 years of experience)
- Experience leading a technical team
- Experience with Mac and iOS deployment and management
- Experience with macOS and iOS operating systems, including deployment tools (e.g., Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L clearance
Qualifications We Desire:
- Experience with Jamf and Intune mobile device management (MDM) solutions and best practices
- Experience in leading and managing large-scale Mac and iOS environments
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of driving successful projects
- Experience with hardware vendors and an understanding of supply chain risk
- Knowledge of Microsoft software, services, and platforms such as O365
- Demonstrated ability dealing with challenging problems and implementing creative solutions
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
