Lead Transformation and Drive Growth with Salesforce

As SVP of Commercial Industries, you will take ownership of the Commercial Business Unit, rapidly drive revenue growth, secure new business, and embed scalable, repeatable processes that deliver long-term success. Your Mission as Senior Vice President of Commercial Industries

In this influential role, you will:

  • Define and Execute Strategy: Set and implement a compelling sales strategy for Commercial Industries, positioning Salesforce as the trusted partner of choice for digital transformation.
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed top-line revenue targets by cultivating new business opportunities and expanding relationships with existing customers.
  • Inspire Sales Excellence: Lead a high-performing sales organisation, including Area Vice Presidents (AVPs), Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), and Account Executives (AEs), to deliver exceptional results while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and inclusion.
  • Champion Customer Success: Establish deep, trusted relationships with C-level executives, guiding them on their transformation journeys and ensuring exceptional outcomes.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with cross-functional leaders to align strategies, leverage resources, and drive seamless execution.
  • Shape the Future: Act as a thought leader and strategic advisor to the UKI CEO, and the wider leadership team, influencing key decisions that drive Salesforce's success.

Core Responsibilities

As SVP of Commercial Industries, you will lead with vision, strategy, and operational excellence to deliver on the following:

Strategic Leadership and Growth

  • Develop and execute Salesforce's sales strategy for the Commercial Business Unit, ensuring sustained year-over-year growth.
  • Expand Salesforce's footprint across new and existing accounts, driving loyalty, retention, and market share gains.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and emerging opportunities to maintain Salesforce's leadership position.

Operational Excellence and Execution

  • Manage and inspire a matrixed sales organisation to close complex enterprise deals with precision and discipline.
  • Establish robust sales processes and metrics to ensure predictable, repeatable success.
  • Drive a disciplined cadence of forecasting, reporting, and accountability to achieve organisational goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing, Solution Engineering, Customer Success, Sales Strategy, and Employee Success to ensure a unified approach to customer engagement and value delivery.
  • Leverage internal and external networks to secure resources, insights, and opportunities that support growth.

Talent Development and Culture

  • Build and lead a diverse, high-performing team, fostering a culture of trust, innovation, and growth.
  • Mentor and develop future leaders within the organisation, ensuring career progression and succession planning.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Sales Leadership Expertise:
    • Over 15 years of experience in enterprise software or applications sales, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
    • Demonstrated success in managing large, matrixed sales organisations, including experience in a 3rd-line VP role.
  • Customer-Centric Focus:
    • Extensive experience selling to C-suite executives, with the ability to navigate high-value, complex transactions.
    • Strong consultative sales skills, with expertise in ROI articulation, strategic account planning, and value-based selling.
  • Strategic and Operational Excellence:
    • Proven ability to implement and scale structured, repeatable sales processes and metrics.
    • Strong analytical and forecasting skills, ensuring data-driven decision-making and operational rigour.
  • Transformational Leadership:
    • A reputation for inspiring and leading diverse, high-performing teams in dynamic environments.
    • A passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and driving cultural transformation.
