Project and Program Manager / Snr Manager
As a Project and Program Manager/ Senior Manager in the Global Capacity Management team, your role will be crucial in driving programs and projects, overseeing resource planning and budgeting, and ensuring consistency across regions. You will report to the Senior Director, Global Capacity Management, and work closely with Regional Directors in APAC, AMER, and EMEA. You will be a key part of a Global team that manages and optimizes Data Center Capacity across over 240 Data centers spread across America, EMEA and APAC.
The ability to manage large scale, global programs and projects involving multiple, cross functional stakeholders, create and drive mechanisms and processes to keep team performance on track, and to interpret and analyze large data sets to problem solve and identify opportunities for improvement will be critical for success in this role.
While experience in the Data Center industry is beneficial, it is not as important as your ability to drive cadence, demonstrate a passion for optimization, and provide a clear vision for the team.
Based in either London or Warsaw, you will provide key support to Capacity Management teams worldwide, ensuring their success and fostering consistency across regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive robust mechanisms for Monthly and quarterly business reviews including but not limited to providing key metrics, presentation decks, callouts and action plans.
- Ensure delivery of key global initiatives tied to Improving customer service, improving asset utilization and or Managing and Mitigating Operational Risks proactively.
- Make impactful decisions and recommendations to our regions, including presenting to senior leaders at the SVP+ levels in the organization
- Operate independently in structuring review mechanisms and coordinating and managing resources (people, finance, budgets)
- Continuously challenge critical and lateral thinking in all Capacity Engineering staff, particularly senior and regional leads
- Communicate project and program progress updates, risks, and escalation points in a timely manner
- Provide crucial support to the Global Senior Director of Global Capacity Management where required
- Establish consistency, benchmark performance and build synergies between our APAC, AMER, and EMEA teams by identifying and rolling out best practices across regions.
- Oversee and support projects and programs on a large, global scale
- Foster professional relationships and stakeholder engagement, utilizing analytics and data to identify and drive improvement opportunities drive positive change
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a similar position is required, MBA preferred
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in regional roles
- Experience and track record in managing global programs, driving business review cadence including identifying clear actions and tracking performance against them.
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, strong ability to write well-structured decks that are senior (SVP+) Exec levels ready
- Strong commercial acumen combined with a good understanding of Operations (ideally in a manufacturing set up)
- Expertise in stakeholder engagement at multiple levels
- Strong analytical skills, the ability to query and identify the right performance metrics, build new KPIs and use data derived insight to identify and drive performance improvement
- Ability to adapt to the industry and bring a transferable skillset and experience (if from outside the Data Center industry)
- Proactive approach with the ability to adapt easily to a changing environment and prioritization of tasks
- Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills, with the ability to execute tasks in a high-energy and fast-paced environment
