As a key member of the Workplace Innovation team, the Senior Manager of Workplace Research will drive innovative, human-centered research by exploring and understanding workplace experiences through a strategic lens. Using strong business acumen and deep operational insights, this role will be responsible for completing comprehensive research approaches that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of organizational spaces and programs, while tracking and compiling annual trends to deliver critical regional and business unit insights. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication and analytical skills, an analytical mindset, and a data-driven approach that enables them to navigate complex organizational challenges, collect and synthesize team and space insights, and translate sophisticated research findings into actionable strategies that resonate with leadership and the broader organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research studies to deeply understand business needs, employee behaviors, and workplace experiences
  • Conduct multiple on-site research methodologies that capture nuanced insights across different business units, geographies and cultures
  • Oversee human-centered experience strategy - including surveys, listening sessions, persona shadowing, and environment immersion
  • Influence new concept development and collaborate on active initiatives that assess workplace performance and program effectiveness
  • Synthesize sophisticated research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership
  • Continuously evolve research processes and tools to support agile and impactful insights
  • Provide a regular cadence of communication to key team members and executives, aiming for transparency and alignment on key findings, while addressing concerns to influence future strategy shifts
  • Stay current with the latest industry research, trends, and innovative workplace approaches
  • Explore potential external research partnerships to improve workplace strategy

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 5+ years experience developing and leading workplace research
  • Familiar with CRE global operations, change management, and process development
  • Proven ability to execute strategy in a cross-functional, global environment
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and project management skills, using relevant information to make timely and critical decisions that affect cross-functional teams
  • Comfort with ambiguity and motivated to tackle complex problems
  • Able to deliver results in a changing environment and make things happen
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships while delivering results in a fast growing global organization

This role is hybrid and connects in the office 3 days per week.

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $164,000 to $225,500.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $164,000 to $225,500.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
