The People Services & Operations team is seeking a Manager, Global Employee Data to oversee the maintenance and optimization of employee data within Workday, and to ensure it drives key HR programs like M&As, Global Merit, and Promotions. This is a high-visibility role where you'll lead a dedicated team of Employee Data Analysts who work globally to support HR processes, advise collaborators, and continuously improve the employee experience.
We're looking for a strategic, hands-on leader who can handle both day-to-day operations and long-term projects, building strong relationships with global teams to drive process improvements, data accuracy, and high-impact outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development: Hire, mentor, and retain a diverse, high-performing team of Employee Data Analysts who run and update employee data, deliver exceptional employee experiences, and provide consultative support on how data impacts HR programs.
- Global Program Support: Lead the maintenance and optimization of employee data in Workday for critical global programs such as M&As, Talent Reviews, Global Merit, and Promotions. Ensure data integrity and accuracy to support these initiatives.
- Data Consulting & Insights: Partner with HR and business leaders to consult on how employee data impacts business decisions, and provide insights to drive improvements in HR processes and employee outcomes.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency, improve data accuracy, and enhance the employee experience. Ensure that the team is consistently supporting the broader employee success goals.
- Operational Excellence: Own key metrics such as data accuracy, casework volume, SLAs, and compliance (e.g., SOX), ensuring that the team meets high standards for quality and timeliness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with global HR teams to ensure consistent application of employee data policies and processes across regions. Support organisational change and process standardization as needed.
- Escalation Management: Oversee the resolution of escalated employee data inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution to maintain a positive employee experience.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- 3-5 years of experience in HR Operations or Employee Data Administration, preferably in a shared services or centralized HR environment.
- Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems (Workday preferred).
- At least 4 years of people management experience, ideally managing a geographically distributed team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, navigate ambiguity, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a bias for action and a solutions-oriented approach.
- Comfortable working across global time zones and collaborating with remote teams.
- Open to feedback and committed to continuous personal and professional growth.
- Advanced Proficiency in Excel.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Workday EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builders) or other relevant HR modules.
- Familiarity with lean process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma) and change management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse collaborators.
- Proven ability to lead and handle cross-functional projects with challenging priorities.
- Highly organized and passionate about developing team talent and fostering a positive work culture.
