We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and results-driven HR Process & Compliance Implementation Manager to lead and drive critical process and compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards across the India region. In this role, you will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to identify compliance gaps at the country level, design targeted implementation projects, and drive their execution in collaboration with HR, Legal, Operational, and Functional teams.


The ideal candidate will bring strong HR process and project management expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of leading successful HR compliance process projects that drive business impact and reduce risk. This role will also be responsible for ensuring labor law and statutory compliance, submitting periodic reports to the Audit Committee, and conducting awareness sessions with business unit leaders on labor law requirements. Additionally, you will collaborate with the company's internal and external audit teams and key stakeholders to undertake proactive risk assessments and ensure full compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.


This role requires a proactive leader who can navigate compliance challenges and drive impactful results through strategic project management and collaboration

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance Strategy & Market Benchmarking

  • Market Benchmarking: Benchmark with industry peers and professional organizations to stay current on trends, best practices, and emerging compliance processes.
  • Staying Ahead of Compliance Requirements: Track industry best practices and identify emerging HR-related compliance requirements, prioritizing them in coordination with legal and business partners.
  • Compliance Readiness Audits: Regularly audit and assess our compliance readiness against evolving regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Compliance Gap Analysis & Risk Mitigation

  • Compliance Gap Identification: Partner with India & South Asia Employment Legal and HR Compliance organisation to evaluate and identify compliance gaps, risks, and prioritize mitigation efforts.
  • Business Impact Assessment: Identify HR-related compliance gaps or conflicts in existing processes and clearly communicate their business impact.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential compliance risks through close collaboration with Employee Success (HR) and functional teams, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborative Partnership: Work closely with Employee Success (HR), Finance, Business Technology, and legal and compliance teams to align on priorities, design end-to-end controls, and document mitigation efforts.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong partnerships with HR, legal, operational, and functional teams to ensure smooth execution of compliance projects and alignment with business needs and key priorities.

Project Setup & Program Management

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, define milestones, and manage the end-to-end delivery of compliance projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborative Execution: Assemble and lead strong project teams, including subject matter experts and decision-makers, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Process Design & Control Frameworks

  • End-to-End Process Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to map current and future-state processes, integrating compliance requirements for streamlined workflows. Champion the integration of compliance principles into all new projects, initiatives, and systems.
  • Control Points & Frameworks: Identify, design, and implement control points within HR processes to ensure early detection of operational risks, timely escalation, and effective remediation.

Change Management & Sustainability

  • Change Readiness: Assess organizational readiness for change, identify potential barriers, and develop mitigation plans to ensure consistent adoption.
  • Sustainability & Training: Partner with Employee Success teams to design and deliver compliance communications, training, and enablement efforts for successful implementation.

Reporting & Performance Metrics

  • Prioritization & Progress Tracking: Establish regular operating rhythms to track progress, prioritize initiatives based on local requirements, and deliver timely compliance progress reports.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide regular, clear, and concise updates on project progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Metrics & Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compliance initiatives by introducing KPIs and


Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a Compliance Lead or practitioner in a large-scale, high-growth organization, managing complex compliance programs within a matrixed environment, with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of complex HR-related labour legislations, statutory, regulatory, collective, industry, and/or professional compliance standards, with a focus on India and engaging with various stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience in Compliance Project management /Programme Manager or HR Operational leader
  • Ability to lead end-to-end process design by collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts to map current and future-state workflows, identify compliance requirements, and implement streamlined, efficient processes.
  • Extensive experience testing and monitoring HR-related business processes, collaboratively developing remediation plans, and documenting improvements.
  • Exceptional leadership and influencing skills, capable of inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving expertise, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, delivering results within tight deadlines.
  • Skilled in facilitating solution design workshops and creating end-to-end process documentation and flowcharts for compliance initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with Unions and external vendors on compliance and legal matters
  • Proficiency in English and local language and able to operate as part of a wider globally focused team.
  • Experience in Lean process re-design and problem-solving tools (advantageous).
  • Industry-recognized project management and/or change management qualifications (advantageous).
  • Consulting experience with a proven track record of delivering transformation and compliance programs within HR functions (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with Workday and designing compliance solutions within the platform (advantageous).
