As the Director, Solution Engineering - Key Accounts, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic growth of our highest-potential accounts. You will be responsible for leading the overall solution engineering efforts for these key accounts, ensuring alignment with our business objectives and customer needs. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Leadership Team. You will have a breadth and depth of experience managing teams, to drive transformational change and build engagement at CXO level.

You will have exceptional leadership, communication, strategic, analytical, and consulting skills. Additionally, you will have a track record of success in the following areas:

  • Internal and external stakeholder management
  • C level relationships and the ability to translate these into revenue
  • Transformational thinker and leader... taking the business to the next level through disruptive thinking and innovation
  • People and organizational leadership

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive solution strategy for each key account, aligning with their long-term business goals.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage our solutions to address customer pain points and drive value.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions.
    • Provide feedback and push ideas forward to product teams to enhance solutions and meet customer needs.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team of solution engineers.
    • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical skills and strategic thinking.
    • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build strong, long-lasting relationships with key account executives and decision-makers.
    • Proactively engage with customers to understand their evolving needs and challenges.
    • Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance and strategic insights.
  • Consumption-Based Product Growth:

    • Help identify opportunities to expand consumption of consumption-based products within key accounts.
    • Work with product and engineering teams to develop new features and capabilities that drive consumption.
    • Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to ensure smooth adoption and renewal of consumption-based products.
  • Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within key accounts.
    • Collaborate with sales teams to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
    • Contribute to the development of pricing strategies and proposals.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Proven track record in solution engineering leadership roles, preferably in a high-growth technology company.
  • Deep understanding of complex technical solutions and the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Sales orientated, broad-based pre-sales, sales leadership or consulting experience with a track record of growing a foot print in a region
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and develop the existing teams and reshape it as necessary while mentoring and inspiring the team
  • Experience in managing large, complex projects.
  • A passion for technology and a desire to drive innovation.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $205,940 to $275,450.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
