The Director, Business Strategy role plays a critical leadership role in driving business excellence for Salesforce ANZ's Distribution organisation. This role is accountable for our long-range planning (LRP), V2MOM (Vision, Values, Methods, Obstacles & Measures), and Big Bets and Key Accounts programs.
You'll lead strategic planning efforts, align cross-functional priorities, and shape the investments and operating models that drive long-term growth across our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the ANZ Distribution long-range plan (LRP) and V2MOM.
- Orchestrate strategic planning across the region-translating vision into aligned, actionable plans and investments.
- Drive the design and execution of high-priority growth initiatives, including Big Bets and Key Accounts programs.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment across sales, marketing, finance, employee success, and global teams to deliver cohesive regional strategies.
- Evaluate market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to inform business strategy.
- Prepare executive-level analysis and presentations to influence decisions and communicate strategy clearly.
- Drive operational excellence and consistency across the Distribution business through best practices, tools, and frameworks.
- Lead special strategic projects and initiatives as required.
Skills & Experience
- Proven strategic planning experience with strong business and financial acumen.
- Exceptional program and project management skills; able to manage across multiple initiatives with high complexity.
- Ability to simplify complex topics and influence senior executives with clear, concise communication.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; able to drive alignment across a matrixed organisation.
- Experience identifying and solving sales performance and productivity challenges.
- Track record of leading planning cycles, from multi-year vision through to annual planning execution.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with competing priorities.
- Experience with process re-design, change management, and program enablement at scale.
- Deep analytical skills with a data-driven mindset and ability to translate insights into action.
- Demonstrated leadership in building and developing high-performing teams.
- Executive presence and strong interpersonal skills; ability to lead C-suite level conversations.
- Preferred: Experience in a quota-carrying sales role and/or in leading go-to-market communications.
