Lead Content Strategist - India

A strong candidate for this role understands developer information needs that are specific to the Salesforce platform, and is excited about researching new needs and dreaming of new ways that we can make our customers successful.

We require minimum 8+ years of experience working with developer documentation, forming strategies to better support the developer audience, and using data and research to measure performance and make decisions. Initiative, self-motivation, and accountability are key characteristics of this role.You should be an exceptional writer and communicator, able to master highly technical and complex subjects while promoting the use of plain language.

You have experience providing input and feedback in a style that promotes trust between colleagues, and you're passionate about making Salesforce developers measurably more successful. You should be excited about working with cross-functional teams across CX and Salesforce, including executive leadership.Willingness to accept change and ambiguity is a huge plus, as our roles change daily in this new AI world.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic goals to improve customer success with our developer content.
  • Develop ways to use generative AI to improve processes, content, or speed.
  • Seek clarity, ask questions, raise issues, and find opportunities to fix or improve our developer content, how we create it, and how customers consume it.
  • Own multiple V2MOM dev doc measures and drive their success.
  • Use customer feedback and usage data to measure the effectiveness of developer content. Work with the CX Content Strategy teams, the Developer Web Ops team, and the Research & Insights team to improve our tools for measuring and reporting. Work with CX managers to align release work with content strategy goals.
  • Identify, design, test, and document content patterns and standards for developer content. Collaborate with CX Content Strategy teams to ensure that standards are consistent and only different for the Developer site where needed.
  • Ensure that the Information Architecture on the Developer site implements the Salesforce Taxonomy.
  • Participate in department leadership meetings and contribute as those groups make strategic, business-impacting decisions.
  • Bring together team members and stakeholders to create innovative solutions to problems.
  • Mentor other strategists and writers on how to make strategic decisions.

Examples of the work you might take on to achieve top business priorities:

  • Being fully responsible for the Content Experience team's content on the Developer Site
  • Integrating AI with current authoring or content performance processes
  • Assisting with efforts to move towards a more automated, spec-based authoring approach to documenting APIs
  • Attending monthly roadmap reviews held by the Developer Web Ops team (who manages developer.salesforce.com) and provide feedback on their roadmap: search, generative AI, feedback mechanisms, data, IA, UX, and so on
  • Ensure Dev Centers align with the Salesforce Taxonomy and all content is connected to a Dev Center. Consult with writers who own Dev Centers and review their pull requests. Work with Dev Relations and Developer Web Ops on general Dev Center improvements
  • Ensure CX content IA aligns with the Salesforce Taxonomy in collaboration with the CX Info Architect.
  • Owning Data & Research for the Developer Site
