Saint-Gobain is looking for talent ready to make a change and use their technical/engineering background and contribute to our business growth through consultative sales and business development.
The Technical Sales Manager will develop, manage & grow a $7-12 million portfolio for Saint-Gobain's market leading brands, NORGLIDE® Bearings, RENCOL® Tolerance Rings and our latest innovation SPRINGLIDE™ Energized Bearings.

While collaborating with a well-tenured Sales & Business Development Team, the incumbent will partner withhigh volume, international Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier One suppliers, & their respective engineering teams, to develop custom designed component solutions for use in a range of applications for customers in the most demanding industries, including Automotive, HVAC, Bicycle and Electronics. Current areas of emphasis include mechanisms, seating, steering, and powertrain.
This role requires a self-motivated and self-directed individual.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical degree required
- 10+ years experience in Automotive Sales
- OEM, Tier 1, Tier 2 Supplier experience (preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints an interface with engineers on technical aspects of application.
- Proven relationship building skills and commercial awareness to understand the customer's business needs and identify plans to deliver them.
Additional Description
Have a flexible approach to working to meet the customers engineering needs.
Effective influencing and communication skills with the ability to understand and explain technical concepts to different levels required.
Have excellent analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
