Job description
The Sr Maintenance Safety Technician position requires knowledge of mechanical machine maintenance, electrical schematic troubleshooting, knowledge of power distribution and motor control logic, competent with industrial electrical issues and PLCs, safety standards and installation. The position reports to the EHS Manager with dotted line support of the maintenance department.

REQUIREMENTS
- Industrial Electrical Maintenance Experience, required
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred
- 5-7 years' experience in a manufacturing maintenance department with project management and regulatory compliance experience.
- PLC experience
- OSHA 30 Certification, Required
- Basic computer and math skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in above ambient temperatures
- Maintain high attendance standards
- Ability to strictly adhere to written and verbal instructions
Job Duties
- Solely responsible for safety maintenance work orders, environmental observations, and compliance.
- Responsible for documenting and improving the electrical safety program to include the assistance with training and improvement to the LOTO program, future state prox sensors and light curtains as applicable.
- Working with management to ensure capital improvement projects incorporate safety from the start.
- Advanced working knowledge of all shop equipment
- Welding and installing guarding and railing.
- Requires fabrication of new guards and safety devices.
- Troubleshoot, modify, repair, and rebuild all equipment
- Assists with the design and movement of controls for safe distance operations.
- Intermediate machining, drilling, and welding work
- Advanced knowledge of hand tools and proper use
- Maintain clean and orderly working conditions
- Reporting all safety hazards
