As the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager, you will provide leadership to the Environmental, Health and Safety and Sustainability programs at the Hoosick Falls, NY locations. With strategic guidance from both the central EHS function and local plant manager, this hands-on leadership position will ensure federal and local legislative compliance, develop and maintain ISO systems, develop an autonomous EHS culture, promote defined Health and Wellness programs, define EHS standard operating procedures, provide EHS training, develop risk identification and reduction awareness and methods, and continue sustainability programs all achieved through employee participation and engagement.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Drive awareness, communicate best practices, and implement new programs related to Safety
  • Work to ensure safe behavior, machinery, and regulatory compliance for EHS at the site
  • Lead continuous improvement of EHS Management System
  • Facilitate cross-site discussions, projects and best-practice sharing across other key manufacturing sites regarding EHS topics

Required Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Safety Sciences or related field required
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of reducing occupational injuries and maintaining compliance with pertinent regulations required
  • Strong Safety background and experience in federal regulations and reporting, including experience with NYS DEC required
  • Experience with OSHA regulations and reporting required
  • Demonstrated abilities as an effective trainer/coach required
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with lean manufacturing preferred
  • Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS) preferred
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred

Additional Description

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees' wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $97,900 to $151,800 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $110,627 to $171,534. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
