The Manager, Maintenance Strategy and Coordination will lead and manage the scheduling and coordination of critical component replacements, component retrofit, program management, and reliability focused maintenance in renewable energy assets, including wind turbines and solar farms. This role focuses on long-term planning, resource optimization, and risk mitigation to ensure efficient execution of major maintenance activities while minimizing downtime and costs.

- Develop and manage long-term replacement schedules for major components, balancing operational priorities, budget constraints, and asset performance goals
- Proactively plan and execute major component replacements to minimize unplanned downtime, aiming for zero hours, thereby maximizing asset availability and efficiency
- Provide leadership in the development of day-to-day maintenance plans and oversee the planning and execution of retrofits to improve asset performance and reliability
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, logistics, and field operations teams to align planning efforts with broader asset management strategies
- Identify potential challenges, including supply chain disruptions, weather constraints, and resource limitations, and develop contingency plans to mitigate impact
- Ensure the efficient allocation of cranes, specialized tools, technicians, and spare parts to maximize operational efficiency
- Ensure all planning activities align with safety regulations, environmental policies, and industry best practices
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to major component replacements, retrofit, program management, and preventive maintenance to ensure high reliability standards are achieved and sustained
- Continuously evaluate and enhance planning methodologies, leveraging technology and best practices to optimize replacement strategies
Job Requirements and Experiences:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, equivalent experience can substitute in lieu of a degree
- Minimum 8 years experience required
- Experience in wind turbine or solar PV system component replacements is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of renewable energy infrastructure, maintenance requirements, and lifecycle cost analysis
- Strong understanding of the theory of operation of electromechanical generating apparatus, renewable energy systems & technology, and electrical power transmission technology
- SAP proficiency for asset management, work order planning, and maintenance scheduling
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships
- Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
- Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
- Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
- Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
- Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
- Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
- This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE offices and field locations
