We are seeking an Associate Director of Workforce Planning & Forecasting to develop, deploy, and execute a comprehensive business-level workforce planning framework. This role will report to the Director of Workforce Intelligence for Raytheon and be responsible for implementing an end-to-end workforce planning strategy that ensures alignment with organizational goals, optimizes HR & talent processes, and enables the business to optimally align human capital to short-term and long-term business objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong financial background in FP&A, resource planning & forecasting, project management, coupled with demonstrated experience navigating large, matrixed organizations.
This individual will work closely with HR and cross-functional teams to drive forecasting accuracy, improve operational planning efficiency, and ensure the successful execution of the workforce planning framework.
What You Will Do
- Workforce Planning Solution Deployment: Lead the implementation and adoption of a new business-wide workforce planning (WFP) solution, ensuring it aligns with strategic objectives and integrates seamlessly with existing systems and processes
- Workforce Planning Governance Council: Facilitate Workforce Planning Governance Council, engaging key stakeholders to drive alignment, provide oversight, and ensure adherence to workforce planning standards and best practices across the organization
- Workforce Planning & Forecasting: Lead workforce planning and forecasting process to ensure optimal resource allocation that meets both financial and operational goals
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between multiple organizations, fostering collaboration and effectively communicating workforce plans and forecasts to key stakeholders
- Strategic Forecasting & Scenario Planning: Conduct scenario planning to identify future workforce requirements, assessing various scenarios to help the organization plan and adapt to changing business needs
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Develop and leverage workforce metrics, KPIs, and financial models to inform strategic resource planning decisions and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with HR, Finance, Engineering, and other business teams to support organizational goals, align priorities, and ensure seamless execution of workforce planning initiatives
- Leadership & Mentoring: Provide guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative environment, and supporting the professional development of direct reports.
- Occasional travel in support of business needs.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years professional experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience.
- Experience with MS Excel (template & forecast generation, macros, charts) and PowerPoint
- Experience analyzing company data (i.e. annual reports, web sites, industry research, etc)
- Experience with analyzing, interpreting, synthesizing, and presenting complex financial and operational information, at all levels of the organization
- Experience in workforce planning, business analysis, management consulting, financial planning, strategic planning, program management, or quantitative analysis
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Bachelor's degree in a field such as: Business, Quantitative methods, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Mgmt Information Systems, Human Capital, Economics, Market Research, or related field
- Master's Degree / MBA
- Demonstrated change management leadership
- Familiarity with statistics, forecasting, and modeling methodologies & tools
- Experience working in a large, matrixed organization / Defense industry experience
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, follow-through on both verbal and written instructions, and have the ability and flexibility to multi-task, prioritize, and organize multiple projects/tasks concurrently while meeting stated deadlines
- Strong partnering skills, ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders across the enterprise
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills

- Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
