The following position is to join our RTX Technology Research Center:

The Digital Technologies (DT) team at RTRC is responsible for all aspects of computer support at the research Center. An important part of the DT work is to support the High-Performance Computing (HPC) Cluster that is used to research cutting edge solutions to solve real world problems. Much of the information about HCP is on our Wiki site.

What You Will Do

The Summer 2025 DT Intern will be responsible for one or more of the following activities:

  • Working with the RTRC DT SharePoint admin:
    • Convert/migrate the current legacy Wiki website to a SharePoint platform.
  • Work with the RTRC DT HPC team:
    • Update all the information on the site as it's being migrated.
    • Create ServiceNow KB articles from the process instructions currently on the Wiki.
  • Participate in RTRC's summer intern program and team project

What You Will Learn

  • You will receive training and mentoring with RTRC DT members in relevant courses to support this summer's intern project
  • You will learn about RTRC through the summer intern program

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field. Candidates must not graduate prior August 2025. Please submit a copy of your academic transcripts with your application.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • The preferred candidate should have a wide understanding of computer principles.
  • The candidate must be able to take direction from, and to work effectively in collaborative team environment.
  • Other preferred skills include: Presentation, planning, problem solving, organizational, project management and decision-making skills. Experience working with SharePoint. General knowledge of computer concepts in hardware and software. A working knowledge of Linux OS commands is desired

Location: This position is in East Hartford, CT and is an onsite role.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
