The StormBreaker® program requires a Senior Program Quality Engineer (PQE) in support of our Modernization pillar which includes technology refreshes to our current capabilities and long-term obsolescence management. This position will span across multiple RMD factories, labs, and a complex supply-base. Execution of the Modernization efforts will require close collaboration with internal and at times external partners. This will involve communicating with internal customers on a weekly basis. The PQE will oversee the execution of our Quality Management System (QMS) and champion the Quality culture. PQE will also develop innovative solutions to challenges which may arise within a team environment. In addition, you must hold a forward-looking mindset to proactively mitigate risk and at times work may also involve tasks aligned with production efforts. This role will report to the overall StormBreaker® QM, underneath the Tactical Strike Portfolio

This is a Hybrid/Onsite role in Tucson, Arizona.
What You Will Do:
- You will ensure contract and Quality requirements are met
- You will review Supplier Statement of work to ensure quality requirements are clearly defined
- You will lead the collection and analysis of Quality performance data to drive improvements
- You will be the program Quality liaison across pertinent factories, labs, and customer organizations (DCMA and USG)
- You will respond to all quality escalations plus collaborate with cross-functional teams on solutions or corrective actions
- You will partner with cross-functional teams to define and implement quality improvement strategies
- You will participate in customer interactions and reporting (DCMA and USG) as required
- You will work cross-functionally with Modernization IPL Team daily and production team as required
- You will participate in Risk and Opportunity management and Engineering Review boards
- You will support the review, verification, and execution of deliverable hardware
- You will participate in weekly engineering type meetings, reviews, and activities for the program.
- You will participate in Program Corrective Action Board (CAB) review
- You will facilitate Root Cause Corrective Action closures throughout the program and including supplier quality.
- You will support initiatives related to Cost of Rework/Scrap (CORS) reduction efforts and APQP growth.
Qualification You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's of Science in a STEM related field such as Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Technology and five (5) or more years of professional Quality/Manufacturing experience in the following;
- Experience managing multi-disciplined/multifunctional teams in highly matrixed environment..
- Experience working AS9100 & Quality Management Systems requirements
- Experience with supplier statement of work (SSOW) and quality's review of their requirements
- Experience in AS9145 requirements and implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
- Experience transitioning hardware from a development to production environment.
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience creating and executing strategic plans and innovative ideas to meet team/business objectives.
- Experience in the development work, program quality, obsolescence, and contract proposal basis of estimate (BOE) and financial practices (EAC)
- Experience working in a manufacturing and engineering environment plus knowledge of SAP/PRISM systems
- Previous Quality experience in quality tools, practices, auditing, and compliance requirements
- Experience with project management and working in a team environment
- Experience with RTX projects, programs, and aerospace defense work
- Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or other ASQ certification

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
