We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our

team at Nightwing, a leading government contractor. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll in compliance with government regulations, maintaining accurate payroll records, and ensuring timely and accurate payroll distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and overtime

Ensure payroll is processed in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as with government contracting regulations

Review and verify accuracy of timekeeping records

Handle all payroll-related tasks including garnishments, special payroll deductions, and benefit deductions

Coordinate with HR for any changes in payroll related to new hires, terminations,and changes in employee status

Maintain and update payroll records in compliance with government contractingregulations

Prepare and maintain accurate payroll reports and records

Assist with annual payroll audits and ensure all documentation is in place for government audits

Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and government contracting regulations

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or arelated field

Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, preferably in a government contracting environment

Strong understanding of payroll processes, laws, and regulations, including government contracting requirements

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation

Experience with [specific payroll software, if applicable]

Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and other government contracting regulations

Physical Demands:

Ability to sit for extended periods

May require lifting files, opening filing cabinets, and bending or standing as necessary

Work Environment:

Office environment with a professional dress code

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
