What You Will Do
Today across RTX there are a variety of business processes and software platforms that support the flow of information from our customers to our factories to our suppliers and enable our ability to report and analyze our collective performance. This combination of process and tools is commonly called an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. In support of the future of RTX the enterprise has begun an ERP transformation journey to optimize processes, enable data strategy, and implement a common approach to our next generation ERP software - SAP S4/HANA.
The RTX SAP S4/HANA Program Management Office team is focused on setting up the framework and executing RTX ERP Transformation by partnering with Corporate, Enterprise Services and the Business Units. Collectively we will drive customer and financial performance through technological advancements, data insights, and process optimization.
As the Sr. Manager of Master Scheduling & SIOP for our ERP Transformation project, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development and optimization Master Scheduling & SIOP of processes across our Aerospace and Defense operations. Reporting directly to the Functional Planning leader, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive process maps that integrate seamlessly with our new ERP system. Your expertise will drive strategic improvements and operational efficiencies, ensuring that our Master Scheduling & SIOP functions align with industry best practices and organizational goals. This role requires a dynamic leader with proven experience in managing complex implementation projects, influencing senior executives, and driving cross-functional collaboration across multiple business units. Your ability to communicate effectively, lead change initiatives, and deliver innovative solutions will be critical to the successful transformation of our Master Scheduling & SIOP operations and overall business performance.
The Master Scheduling & SIOP lead on the Plan to Sustain team plays a crucial role in leading and executing enterprise resource planning (ERP) initiatives to optimize business processes and drive operational excellence. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and deep expertise in ERP systems and implementation methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets related to Master Scheduling & SIOP process development and ERP integration.
- ERP Integration: Oversee the integration of Master Scheduling & SIOP processes into the new ERP system, ensuring that all required capabilities are effectively supported.
- Executive Communication: Effectively communicate and influence influence senior and executive leaders on the status, benefits, and implications of the ERP transformation project.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with Master Scheduling & SIOP process changes and ERP implementation.
- Integrate Best Practices: Ensure Master Scheduling & SIOP process maps incorporate industry best practices and are tailored to meet the specific needs of all RTX business units.
- Change Management: Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems by Master Scheduling & SIOP teams.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within ERP systems, leveraging technology to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with ERP vendors and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions and services.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with ERP implementations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and data security standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success of ERP initiatives, providing regular updates and reports to senior leadership.
- Some travel required ~ 20 - 25%
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 10 year proven experience in Material Planning Operations, ERP systems, or related fields OR Advanced degree in related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Strong Leadership: Proven track record of leading large-scale projects and complex initiatives, particularly in the Aerospace and Defense industry
- Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Proven leadership skills, including team building, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering measurable business outcomes.

Minimum Program Qualifications:
- Be on a career break of one or more year at time of application

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
