Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) / Radio Frequency Solutions (RFS) - a product line within Raytheon finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to work within the portfolio of Terrain Follow Radars (TFR). You will be responsible for working closely with the Program Business Managers, Integrated Product Team Leads (IPT), and Program Managers. The position offers an excellent opportunity for someone to learn and expand their abilities in the finance and business management disciplines. You will be an essential team member performing program cost reporting and financial analysis functions.

The position involves the generation of internal cost reports, monitoring and analysis of cost data and financial planning systems and resources, and compiling quarterly estimate at completion (EAC) for presentation to program and finance management.

This position is currently designated as Onsite. However, the successful candidate will be required to work onsite from one of the following Raytheon locations, McKinney TX or El Segundo, CA, .

What You Will Do

  • Support the creation of Estimates at Complete (EACs) on a quarterly basis including costs, risks and opportunities at the Program / Mission Area level.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis for both total program and mission area cost elements to help define and understand the monthly variances to Budget baseline and EAC positions.
  • Prepare program financial forecasts, monitor actual costs, and explain variances to plans and forecasts.
  • Support the preparation of cost estimates for new business proposals and assist Estimating and Program Analysts in developing rationale for basis of estimates.

Qualification You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related topic or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with preparing program financial forecasts, monitoring actual costs, and able to explain variances to plans and forecasts.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Tool Suite, focus on Excel.
  • U.S. Citizenship Status is Required as this position will require the ability to Access US Only Data Systems.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with contractual EVMS reporting, working in APEX/PRISM EVMS systems.
  • Experience in using SAP R/3 Business Systems (APEX, PRISM, Business Warehouse).
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Able to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply solutions and process improvements in a fast-paced changing business environment.
  • Clear, succinct written and verbal communication skills and experience working within teams.
  • Working knowledge of financial planning system (RPlan).
  • Defense Contracting Finance work experience and an understanding of accounting standards and practices.
  • Comfort and willingness to taking on new challenges.

  • This position is grade P2, Senior Financial Analyst, Program Cost Controls.
  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 72,000 USD - 144,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
