Position Overview
This role is part of the COO Finance - Spend Portfolio Management (SPM) team which manages the overall spend portfolio for the COO organization. Our mission is to partner with stakeholders and deliver actionable insights to make ROI-driven decisions that enable Autodesk to optimize its investment towards efficient and effective business growth. Now more than ever, there is a critical need for us as the finance team to be the co-pilots and guide the way towards optimization and scalability. We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support centralized reporting, forecast consolidation, own quarter-end activities, and ad hoc requests, while partnering with a variety of key stakeholders within the Worldwide Marketing (WWM) Finance team.

This role will report to the Senior Finance Manager of WWM Spend and will be a key player in spend management, financial analysis, and consolidated reporting.
This is a hybrid role with a preference to candidates based in the Pacific Time Zone.
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with other financial analysts on the team and own the monthly forecasting cycles for the COO Finance - SPM team
- Key partner for the WWM Finance team to provide financial guidance and analyses to drive decisions on spend management (i.e., use data analysis, judgment, interpretation, and creativity to recommend the right course of action)
- Track, analyze, and report spend components to ensure forecasts are accurate and key stakeholders are aware of any risks or opportunities in spend (i.e., connect the dots to the bigger picture)
- Own quarter-end activities including preparing and submitting cross-charges and accruals, while reporting total landing positions, and consolidated reporting for the WWM group
- Participate in fiscal year planning and incremental investment ask preparation and submissions
- Act as the cross-functional liaison for teams such as accounting, FP&A, and financial systems
- Participate in projects focused on efficiencies including building new models/templates, revamping existing processes, and ad-hoc analyses
- Work with Senior Manager of WWM Spend on strategic initiatives tied to the GTM verticals such as developing an ROI framework for Marketing spend, thought partner in measuring and reporting of Marketing KPIs, location strategy, and driving synergies across finance teams and workflows
Successful candidates will have a self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently, high attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and clear articulation of stories beyond the numbers/data. In addition, strong professionalism, a strategic-mindset, and time management skills are crucial to effectively partner with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Partnership with stakeholders and budget owners: You will partner with budget owners to drive forecasts and recommend solutions for effectively managing their spend. In addition, you will be the first line of approval for all expenditures within your areas
- Financial analysis: You will provide monthly spend reporting, assist in ad-hoc analyses to help support business decisions, and providing accurate, succinct, executive-friendly updates and summaries
- Consolidation: You will partner with COO Finance - SPM team members to consolidate the monthly forecast and provide analysis while meeting company deadlines. You will participate in internal team processes, such as external and internal budget transfer tracking, Contingency tracking, accrual validations, managing risks and opportunities, and overall support for the WWM Finance team
- Operational efficiencies: You will be looked upon to continuously drive efficiencies through automation and revamping existing spend forecast files
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred; CA, MBA, CFA or CPA a plus
- Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in finance related field
- Prior experience in budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing spend
- High attention to detail and ability to drive process improvements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence effectively
- Strong Excel skills and hands-on experience with financial software (i.e., Anaplan, Business Objects, BPC)
- Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of ownership, ability to prioritize, time management, and work in fast paced environment
- Growth mindset and ability to learn quickly
- Knowledge of SaaS and Marketing Metrics such as ARR, ACV, CAC, LTV, Churn, pipeline creation, and more preferred

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $81,200 and $140,140. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
