Raytheon Technologies has an opening for a First Shift Facilities Manager at the Northwest Naval Base in Chesapeake, VA. This position supervises employees or outside contractors who operate, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and equipment. Primary focus is on Electrical, but will, on occasion provide some supervision for HVAC, Plumbers, Grounds Maintenance, Janitorial and general maintenance. Required to cover off hours, winter weather events, and respond to emergency infrastructure issues at other sites as required.

What you will do
- The candidate will have a subject matter expertise of electrical systems, with a working knowledge of HVAC, building automation systems, building controls and plumbing.
- Provide tasking and oversight to subcontractors and vendors
- Provide technical support to Management and Teammates.
- Designs, installs and repairs electrical infrastructure, wiring, conduit, cabling and associated hardware as required.
- Provide team leadership based on technical knowledge and ability to routinely develop cost effective solutions over a range of complex issues while ensuring solutions are innovative and consistent with organizational goals and objectives.
- Perform work with minimal direction, communicate and collaborate well with team members, Management, Security, Mission Assurance, EHS, subcontractors and customers
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety and quality procedures.
- Manage and Support projects for ROTHR Radar facilities that include, but are not limited to, developing solutions and effectively maintaining electrical systems, HVAC systems, grounds maintenance, corrosion control, transmit and receive radar shelters, cable trays, ground screens, reflective radials, UPS systems and backup batteries.
- Perform any related duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires an applicable Bachelor Degree
- 8 years of experience in all aspects of facilities maintenance to include electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and janitorial.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience in designing, repairing and maintaining infrastructure and technology, reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.
- Must be Able to twist 45 degrees, lean back 45 degrees, bend forward 90 degrees and perform heavy manual labor, including bending, stooping, climbing, reaching and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Experience with and application of safety standards and precautions pertaining to electrical and other facility work.
- Experience with working from sketches, drawings, and blueprints.
- Experience with engineering fundamentals necessary for effective and safe operation of complex electrical and mechanical building equipment and systems.
- Must be willing and able to travel to other radar sites, primarily in Texas and Puerto Rico as required
- Current Virginia Master Electrician License.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with the Navy's Preventative Maintenance System
- Experience consulting with management on building maintenance and construction issues.
- Experience with working from sketches, drawings, and blueprints.
- Considerable knowledge and application of safety standards and precautions pertaining to electrical and other facility work.
- Ability to work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints.
- Considerable knowledge of and ability to use standard hand and power tools and equipment used in maintenance activities. Ability to use ladders, scaffolding, and operate hand and power tools in a safe, efficient manner.
- Candidate should have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and be capable of communicating with program leadership, customers and subcontractors both orally and in writing.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Microsoft Projects, Building Management Systems and AutoCAD.
- Previous or current security clearance

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
