What You Will Do
- Columbus Forge Disks is looking for a high energy, dynamic Production Planning Team Member to support the module center as part of the Nickel Powder Value Stream. The successful candidate will assist in the maintenance of proper Forge WIP material, based on production schedules, related to key manufacturing processes throughout the value stream. The candidate will provide feedback to the Production Planner as it relates to manufacturing inhibitors, material availability, and the impact to the supply plan (production schedule) supporting customer demand.
- This position will report to the Production Planning Manager and will interact and collaborate with the Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams on a regular and frequent basis. The individual must embrace CORE, which is Pratt & Whitney's Operating System; additionally, champion lean manufacturing and excel in a team environment with high-performance expectations.
- This is an onsite role located in Columbus, GA.
- 3rd shift 4x10, Monday-Thursday, 10:00 PM - 8:30 AM
- Understand forecast / planned Customer demand.
- Understand forecast / planned production supply.
- Develop a cadence to investigating supply plan supportability in support of delivering Customer demand on time in-full.
- Understand material available-to-promise analysis.
- Understand production clear-to-build analysis.
- Validate schedule to capacity.
- Look after the work order release in line with Build requirement.
- Work alongside; operators, production schedulers, materials, and equipment to ensure on time in full delivery to all customers.
- This job requires clear and effective communication skills that will be utilized to address scheduling issues and drive cross-functional program teams towards meeting cost and schedule commitments to our external customers.
- This position requires a highly motivated self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives in a demanding environment.
- The individual selected to fill this role will need to be able to interface effectively with all levels of management in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment.
Qualifications You Must Have
- HS Diploma or GED
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in production control and/or materials planning
- Demonstrated experience in inventory management and delivery assurance
- Demonstrated experience using SAP and analytical skills to drive results
- Demonstrated experience leveraging internal customer focus, relationship development and communication skills for continuous improvement, business and team success
- CORE or equivalent certification including process maturity development and root cause corrective action methods and tools
