Why it matters: We need an Associate with event production experience who can manage production tasks, small market local events from beginning to end, vendor facing documents and multiple front-of-house and back-of-house tasks on-site at events and in a virtual environment. This person will collaborate across the events team to research and build robust venue and vendor leads, track and improve team efficiency and process, support the production team with creation and design of on-screen graphics, audio tracks, and video editing (including digital assets in After Effects, audio editing, clip cutting in Adobe Premiere... etc) and perform relevant administrative tasks.

The details: Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for Axios’ mission and have the following skills:
- 1+ years of professional event production experience
- Live events experience is required
- Virtual event experience is a plus
- Self-starter, extremely detail oriented and organized
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Flexible with a proven ability to think critically in high pressure situations
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Positive, collaborative attitude
- Competent in Microsoft Office/Google Suite & Adobe Premiere
- Experience with Adobe Full Suite products is a plus
- Project management software experience is a plus (i.e. Wrike, Smartsheet, Airtable)
- Ability and excitement to travel regularly
- Ability to work early mornings and late nights
Starting salary for this role is in the range of $55,000 - $63,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation and benefits. Axios' compensation philosophy takes into account cost of labor differentials across the country. Because this is a remote-optional job posting, this salary range takes into account all possible locations within the United States, but candidates will only be eligible for the salary range for their location.
