What You Will Do

• Lead a team of six Aftermarket Buyers who focus on build-to-print suppliers on mostly out-of-production programs.
• Frame your leadership style around RTX's five key areas of Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Promote employee development by having monthly one-on-ones with each direct report, fulfilling all steps of the RTX Performance Impact process, and supporting each employee's Individual Development Plan. Recognize employees who are meeting or exceeding expectations; have crucial conversations and leverage performance management tools for employees who are missing expectations.
• Interface with OE supply chain, commodities, program leadership, engineering, quality, production control, suppliers, and internal customers. Serve as the first level of escalation when direct reports are experiencing obstacles they're unable to overcome themselves.
• Drive performance and accountability of team members for delivery and quality assurance, cost management, quote preparation, negotiations, and contract award.
• Drive year-over-year increases in Pulse (Employee) Survey and RTX People Leader Effectiveness Survey. Create action plans as a result of these surveys and execute those plans to drive score improvements.
• Support out-of-production transfers when an OE program sunsets and procurement responsibilities shift from OE Buyers to Aftermarket Buyers
• Embrace our lean and continuous improvement philosophy of the CORE operating system. Participation in Policy Deployment, Macro Planning, and CORE engagements/Kaizen events will be required.
• Support leadership deliverables such as approving high dollar purchase orders, headcount forecasting, percent load charts, talent reviews, and CapEx budgeting
• Travel up to 10%, mostly domestically

What You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience with Supply Chain processes or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
• Experience working with contract structure, business terms, and conditions.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience leading a project.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in the Aerospace industry.
• MS office experience, creating PowerPoint presentations.
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Tools i.e. Lean, Six Sigma.
• Able to communicate and make presentations to senior level leadership.

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
