About oneRTX: Process & Systems Transformation (PST)

RTX launched oneRTX focused on leveraging the scale of our three business units to improve collaboration, cost structure, productivity and performance. This will include several major, multi-year initiatives that align to our goals as a company and optimize how we work, operate and deliver to our customers to achieve our full potential. With processes optimized and harmonized, will reduce cost, effort and improve performance as we break down silos and establish consistent ways of working.

The oneRTX│PST project goals are to harmonize key business processes, associated tools and metrics across RTX, while deploying a common enterprise resource management platform - SAP's S4 HANA. The result will be a common user experience across the businesses, real-time visibility into critical data, and automation of manual tasks to enable all employees to focus on value-add activities.

The strategic definition and design phase has primarily concluded and is now entering the initial blueprinting, build and support phases. oneRTX│PST project hubs are based out of Farmington, CT and Dallas, TX with Integration Workshops planned to be executed in Tucson, Tewksbury, East Hartford, Montreal, Cedar Rapids, and Charlotte. Some travel will be required.

Job Description

The oneRTX│PST Organizational Change Management (OCM) team will be working to provide a structured and scalable approach to managing change for our employees. We create and execute strategies for stakeholder engagement, communication, training and sustainment. We increase user readiness and help mitigate risk to ensure the smooth adoption of new processes and systems.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to drive the overall change management communications strategy for this high-impact business transformation project that will shape the future of our organization.

Ability to travel up to 25%.

What You Will Do

The Communications Lead will work collaboratively across the OCM team, with our project integration partner, project leadership and stakeholders to create, implement and manage a communications plan that promotes awareness, engagement, and successful adoption at each phase of the project lifecycle.

Develop and Execute Communications Strategy:

  • Design and implement comprehensive communication plans that support change management efforts throughout the transformation
  • Partner with the OCM team to integrate communications into overall change management strategies
  • Ensure consistent messaging to stakeholders across all project phases
  • Tailor communications to influence stakeholder groups at all levels of the company
  • Coordinate internal project communications to facilitate information sharing and alignment across a diverse and widespread team
  • Educate employees on project activities and benefits and mitigate resistance by fostering a culture of open communication

Content Creation and Delivery:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all communications requirements related to the project.
  • Develop content for presentations, newsletters, FAQs, websites, training materials, and other communications channels
  • Leverage digital platforms (intranet, email, social media, etc.) to ensure widespread distribution and engagement
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, town halls, and feedback sessions to ensure active involvement and alignment across stakeholder groups.

Measurement and Feedback:

  • Continuously adapt the communication approach based on feedback and project milestones
  • Monitor the effectiveness of communications using surveys, feedback forms, and other analytics

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience (Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Change Management, Business or a related field)
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate communications, preferably in change management or large-scale transformation projects
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise and compelling messages
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with various communication tools and platforms (e.g., SharePoint, email marketing platforms, survey tools, video conferencing tools, RTX Connections)
  • Experience with Strategic Planning and Strategy to Action activities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci or equivalent)

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program. Minimum Program Qualifications:

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
