Job Summary:
Operations Quality has an opening for a Factory Quality Engineer who will interface with the factory teams supporting production, first article inspections, creating/maintaining work/inspection instructions, and preparation for audits. The position is based in Camden, AR and requires onsite presence and to work a 4/10 schedule, every Friday off. The quality engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to the following in the next section.

What You Will Do:
- Primary quality interface with DCMA
- Identify and manage risk in the manufacturing process
- Supporting production, first article inspections, creating/maintaining work/inspection instructions, and preparation for audits (internal, Enterprise, Customer, etc.)
- Verify product and process compliance with respect to contractual, technical, industry, AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and internal policies
- Daily status meetings with the factory support, factory management, hourly employees, and internal stakeholders to manage issue, and weekly meetings to help reduce cost of poor quality.
- Primary quality representative for assigned value streams or processes.
- Training, coaching, and mentoring newer quality engineers.
- Leading factory wide strategic efforts that meet the quality department goals.
- Facilitate and lead cross-functional team in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure and leading Corrective Action Boards (CAB)
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM related field, Engineering, Math, Computer Science or other technically related degree and 8 years of engineering experience in either manufacturing, quality or operations OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- Manufacturing process experience in one of the following; (assembly, inspection, test)
- Previous experience reviewing engineering drawings, work instructions, Bill of Materials (BOMs), process disciplines and tool control
- Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Experience in RCCA and Continuous Improvement methods
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
- A strong knowledge of the requirements of interfacing with DCMA on a regular basis
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience in negotiating, having difficult conversations, and ability to work well with factory management, hourly employees, and internal stakeholders
- Competency and experience in a relevant technical discipline with understanding of engineering principles and design analysis techniques
- ASQ CQE Certification
- PRISM, RCAS, Business Warehouse, Virtual Business System (VBS), CMES
- Motivated and self-starting team player who achieves results and continuously strives for improvement
- Confident with decision making with limited information

- Effective communication skills
- Experience working in a dynamic environment that requires prioritization and flexibility to support competing requirements

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
