Platforms Intranet Lead - Corporate Communications, Channels & Content COE

RTX Communications is seeking a Platforms Intranet Lead to oversee content publishing for RTXConnect, the company's intranet platform designed to integrate communications, technology, employee engagement, and productivity. This role is pivotal in enhancing collaboration, connecting distributed employees, fostering company culture, and enabling open communication through a seamless and engaging intranet experience.

As a member of the Channel and Content COE (Center of Excellence), this position will support intranet projects and campaigns while also focusing on platform enhancements and process improvements.

The successful candidate is a creative and organized professional with strong digital marketing skills, a deep understanding of web technologies, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively. They excel in aligning content strategies with business goals, ensuring a high-quality digital experience for employees while promoting company culture.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and optimize the company's intranet content, ensuring it is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
  • Collaborate with departments to gather and curate content, structure the intranet, and maintain user-friendly navigation.
  • Support content strategy aligned with company goals, delivering leadership announcements, employee news, and initiatives.
  • Use SEO (search engine optimization) tactics and analytics tools to monitor engagement, identify improvements, and optimize content.
  • Oversee the content management system (CMS), ensuring it meets organizational needs and site standards.
  • Partner with teams to create, implement, and maintain digital communication strategies that reflect the company's brand.
  • Manage project intake, task distribution, and scheduling to meet internal deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Provide training and support to employees on using the intranet effectively.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience in CMS, with knowledge of web design, user experience (UX) principles, and visual design fundamentals.
  • Communication Skills: Writing, editing, and communication experience, specifically in collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Previous experience managing projects, coordinating teams, and driving change.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with basic web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), modern web-based interfaces, and general principles of data security and network basics.
  • Organizational Insight: Understanding of internal organizational structures, key stakeholders, and business priorities.
  • Analytical Skills: Previous experience analyzing engagement data and effectively present findings to leadership teams.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Familiarity with Sitecore and DoZen is a plus.

Location

  • Hybrid from Andover, MA or Farmington, CT; hybrid employees work regularly both offsite and onsite.

Minimum Program Qualifications

To qualify for the RTX Re-Empower Program, candidates should:

  • Be on a career break of one or more year at time of application
  • Have prior experience in functional area of interest
  • Have interest in returning in either a full-time or part-time position

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
