Joining Collins Aerospace isn't just about finding a job; it's about embarking on a journey to redefine the future of aerospace technology. This Mechanical Assembler III - Group Lead will be responsible for both working on the product and serving as the lead of the assigned work cell(s).

What You Will Do:

  • Provide preliminary review of employees for the OJT sign-off
  • Communicate & document standard work changes
  • Experience interpreting a blueprint and identifying defects
  • Interview operators on an hourly basis to determine if they are achieving expectations (i.e. Pitchwalk)
  • Determine what is driving underperformance
  • Provide countermeasures to underperformance and escalate underperformance to Supervisor, if needed
  • Demonstrate usage of tools and workstations to new and training team members
  • Ensure training and cross-training is completed in a timely manner, based on the specific workstation and provide suggestions to the Supervisor on cross-training potential and depth building
  • Review roster and skills matrix to optimize work stations
  • Ensure shift change is executed properly between shift leads, as well as with operators at each station
  • Use problem-solving skills to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Complete update Pitchwalk and update Tier boards at required frequency
  • Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function to maintain a high MPS completion percentage monthly,
  • Works with supervisor to set plans for sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of resources.
  • Oversees all customer interface to ensure customer needs and issues are resolved and customers receive satisfactory standards of service.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically, a HS diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience is required.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
  • Must be available for overtime, including extended workdays and weekends on a business need basis.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Previous manufacturing lead experience
  • Previous operations or quality experience

What We Offer:

The salary range for this role is $44,475 - $83,414. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
