The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual within the RTX Enterprise Services - Controllership and Compliance team. This organization offers opportunity for this individual to be part of a growing accounting department and develop processes to sustain flexibility as business needs change. Job responsibilities are subject to change based upon alignment of processes within this developing organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for oversight and approval of monthly journal entries, closing activities and account reconciliations including Corporate expense allocations as well as SAP General Ledger closing activities
  • Prepare and review month end reporting including miscellaneous supplementals and deliverables to support disclosures for 10-Q/10-K
  • Responsible for growing and developing a team between 5-7 accountants through training, coaching, and creating opportunities while ensuring an inclusive work environment
  • Drive process improvements across entities and work closely with other Business Unit leads to create value for RTX by eliminating waste and increasing efficiency
  • Contribute to the Enterprise Services organization by bringing innovative solutions within the knowledge base and work of the department and team
  • Provide excellent customer service to Collins, Pratt & Whitney, and/or Corporate accounts, including answering questions and responding to ad hoc requests as required

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business with a related Bachelor's degree (or minimum 5 years with a related advanced degree)
  • Knowledge of US GAAP Accounting
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and database reporting skills
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • CPA/MBA is a plus
  • Knowledge of or experience with current finance and accounting systems and month end close procedures
  • Knowledge and reporting experience with SAP, HFM and OneStream
  • Previous team leadership experience
  • Proven experience in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills either through direct reports or leading a process.
  • Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills, good business acumen and ability to brief levels of management
  • Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills to problem solve and recommend comprehensive solutions
  • Ability to maintain a service-oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situations

Work Location: Hybrid based near Farmington/Hartford CT

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
  • Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
  • Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
