The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:

The Facilities Engineering and Project team in the Southwest Region provides strategic planning, facilities engineering and project management services across Raytheon offices, manufacturing, lab and warehouse space. This role will be responsible to plan, execute, and finalize construction projects according to strict deadlines and budgets. This includes acquiring resources, managing the assignments/performance of the Facilities Engineering and Project team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The role is responsible to refine the building/maintenance and construction project objectives and oversee Estimates at Completions (EAC), schedule and quality control through project closure, working closely with our Facilities Management team to determine which projects will require support.

The successful candidate will be adept at leading in a team environment and communicating with a broad base of individuals and including internal Raytheon stakeholders and facility managers, architects, engineers from all disciplines, general contractors and subcontractors and, at times, external PM resources. He or She will collect requirements, estimate budgets, develop project execution plans, schedule and manage project execution including design, construction execution and closeout. Projects will vary in type to include building modifications/construction, civil infrastructure, office, laboratory, manufacturing space renovations and equipment installations.

What You Will do:

  • Lead/manage projects with teams that includes Facilities Engineers, Architects, outside 3rd party consultants and construction superintendents.
  • Coordinate with respective Facilities Mgrs. and site supervision for project planning and resource allocation alignment.
  • Manage the administrative elements of a project including, EAC's and schedule.
  • Establish in advance, construction project requirements/scope and deliverables in collaboration with the customer, management, and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion and liaison with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Validate estimates of the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Draft and submit budget baselines and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools identify and manage project dependencies and critical path and develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • This role typically requires a Bachelor of Science in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical or electrical engineering or other related degree. Candidate must have a minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • At least 5 years' experience in management of construction of vertical and/or horizontal projects, which may include managing building maintenance and construction project objectives, EAC's, schedules and quality control through project closure.
  • At least 5 years experience and working knowledge of construction techniques and the ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
  • At least 5 years' experience leading and managing a successful team to include: scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of construction including managing/overseeing multiple construction projects across multiple sites.
  • At least 5 years' experience and knowledge of OSHA Construction Industry regulations and practices as well as working knowledge of Building Codes and local amendments.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
    U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to conduct research into project-related issues and products.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Project Management Certification (such as PMP, CAPM, Raytheon Tier Training or PgMP) and FIT (Functional Integration Team) Tool and process.
  • Strong familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Experience and working knowledge of manufacturing, engineering and office facility operations.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
