Collins Aerospace is looking for a talented Associate Director of Procurement. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, as the Associate Director of Procurement, your primary responsibilities will be to actively manage the procurement process with the goals of improving vendor performance, managing part pricing, developing procurement standards, and ensuring compliance with our programs. In this pivotal role you will apply your expert knowledge of procurement management to develop and implement customer-focused, risk-managed solutions for competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage and lead the procurement team to meet the business's purchasing needs.
- Coordinate team activities to achieve program requirements and ensure adherence to procurement practices across the business.
- Utilize your knowledge of supply chain, procurement, and business acumen within a matrixed organization.
- Communicate effectively across multiple areas and with external parties using your excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Apply expert knowledge of procurement management to develop and implement customer-focused, risk-managed solutions for competitive advantage.
What You Will Do:
- Manage and coach the procurement teams, establishing effective performance measures and metrics.
- Oversee a $150M spend and 2000 suppliers across 10 sites in the United States and Mexico.
- Ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge for their tasks, providing training and support to address gaps.
- Support team members in clarifying, defining, and refining procurement activities' scope, requirements, and statements of work.
- Serve as the supply chain point of contact for the business leaders, communicating supply information to Ops leaders, site plant managers, and VSL.
- Collaborate with Executive and Senior leaders in supply chain, compliance, operations, engineering, value stream management, and quality to meet critical operational outputs, supplier relationships, and financial performance.
- Evaluate, establish, and manage compliance with procurement processes, ensuring all required approvals are in place before purchase order release.
- Engage with the procurement team to address any shortages, conflicts, or risks with terms and supplier conditions that could impact supply.
- Support commodity management with supplier engagement activities, including negotiations and supplier performance management where appropriate.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; able to present precise information to internal/external customers and leadership.
- Self-directed, action-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision; effective in team environments.
- Minimum 5-8 years buying and/or planning experience and the ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, processes and philosophies, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
