The Raytheon Operations & Supply Chain (OSC) organization within the Radio Frequency Solutions (RFS) Sub-Strategic Business Unit (sSBU) is looking for an Associate Director, OSC in support of the RFS Fire Control Radar Sustainment portfolio. The candidate will be responsible for leading the OSC personnel assigned to the program areas with a dynamic and complex organization and are responsible for developing and executing supply chain & operations strategies, proposals & program execution within the portfolio. This role requires the ability to exert influence on overall objectives and long-range goals of the product lines and their PMO. This position involves direct management of Material Program Managers and Program Operations Managers, supporting manufacturing activities.

What You Will Do

  • Accountable for OSC cost, schedule, and quality
  • Managing POMs and MPMs supporting the RFS Fire Control Radar Sustainment Portfolio of programs
  • Manage, develop and lead OSC proposal activities including task descriptions and BOEs.
  • Generate production and sustainment plans, make/where plans, and write manufacturing sections of technical proposals.
  • Interfaces with Customers ensuring satisfactory standards of service.
  • Coordinate & develop OSC requirements for all gate reviews & execute proposed strategies.
  • Overall ownership of the Supplier Management process
  • Implement and drive process improvements that result in a healthy value chain for development and production programs•
  • Complete assessments in capital planning (development), and MRL (Manufacturing Readiness Level)
  • Use strong business acumen to own budget and schedule responsibility
  • Prepare and conduct verbal and visual presentations of OSC activities, plans, tasks, and/or delivery outlooks and program-level information to internal and USG Customers
  • Transition program from design to manufacturing
  • Develop and execute competitive bids and proposals through collaboration with multiple manufacturing and functional teams.
  • Domestic travel required for factory visits to McKinney, TX, El Segundo, CA and Forest, MS.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of twelve (12) years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum ten (10) years' experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Minimum eight (8) years' experience with program management from customer interface to factory execution and/or supplier management.
  • Supervisory experience as a hiring manager, lead, supervisor or relevant job title that required activities such as performance reviews, hiring, coaching and performance related activities.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Qualification We Prefer

  • Experience with Technical Data Package (TDP) reviews and approval via common product data management (PDM)
  • Experience interfacing with external and internal customers
  • Experience with Six Sigma/CORE tools and/or similar applications.
  • Experience leading teams in cost reduction/process improvement initiatives.

This position is an onsite role and may be based at one of the following Raytheon sites; McKinney, TX, Forest, MS, or El Segundo, CA.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
