Raytheon is seeking an Associate Director, Manufacturing Operations to oversee the entire depot operations for the Chesapeake, VA facility. This facility specializes in the repair of field return hardware and the manufacturing of spare assemblies to meet customer requirements. We are seeking a seasoned operations leader adept at driving performance through effective leadership, project execution, and lean deployment. Your role will be pivotal in establishing and overseeing long-term objectives and performance metrics across multiple cells and functions, ensuring optimal productivity and adherence to build schedules critical to achieving overall customer success while operating in a safe, compliant manner.

What You Will Do
- Accountable for Operations at the Chesapeake, VA. location holding overall responsibility for repair and rebuild of field return equipment and the manufacturing of spare hardware in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
- Strategize and design manufacturing plans, balancing tactical and strategic demands considering schedules, equipment efficiency, materials supply constraints and staffing requirements to meet operational objectives and business unit goals.
- Directs the development and implementation of activities in manufacturing and test areas to ensure timely, high-quality repairs at the lowest cost consistent with the quality requirements.
- Leads multiple functions driving accountability, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Develops annual operating and staffing plan, operating and capital budgets. Take Enterprise operations strategy and translate into most efficient and effective operating plan for the site. Researches, forecasts, analyzes risks, and requests appropriate allocations to meet requirements and mitigate risks.
- Serves as primary champion for quality improvement, CORE and lean initiatives at the site.
- Accountable for reduction of cost and waste. Improves productivity by implementing best practices.
- Responsible for labor and employee relations at the site. Communicates goals and strategies to a large workforce.
- Directs management team at the site. Identifies and develops leadership within the team. Develops and manages the performance of the team members. This includes both solid line and dotted line functional managers.
- Hosts and interacts with customers as the representative of the Enterprise during site visits providing executive leadership presence.
- Oversees the adherence of environmental, health and safety policies and procedures at the site. Ensures workplace training and safety plans are fully implemented. Ensures the site complies with OSHA, EPA, and other safety and health requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires university degree or equivalent experience and 12 years of prior relevant experience an advanced degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with operations management and/or leadership experience leading cross-department project teams or managing across multiple related departments.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Manufacturing experience
- Experience with depot and spares manufacturing and how it relates to the end user.
- Previous experience with the Lean or CORE Manufacturing principles and project implementations.
- Management experience including the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision, goal setting, delegation, coaching, and motivating.
- Demonstrating executive leadership presence in support of customer interactions.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
