We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director/Department Manager to lead our Central Services Department within the Manufacturing Design and Central Services organization, at our McKinney, TX site. This key leadership position will focus on managing a team that supports critical operational functions, including resource management, operational planning and improvement, organizational learning and development, process engineering, digital manufacturing, and proposals and business systems . The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and a strategic thinker who can cultivate a high-performance culture, improve operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement.

What You Will Do
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Central Services team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee daily operations of the department, ensuring effective coordination of resources and services.
- Collaborate with leadership across Manufacturing Design and Central Services/OSC/Design Engineering to support strategic initiatives and enhance operational performance.
- Develop and manage department budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising service quality.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and safety standards.
- Manage the performance and development of department staff, providing regular feedback and growth opportunities.
- Responsible for managing the department leadership team and technical staff, leading performance management activities, goal setting, career counseling, compensation planning, and employee training and talent development activities, while holding employees accountable to demonstrate Raytheon Values and Behaviors and adhering to the Code of Conduct.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of engineering talent with the competencies required to support execution of factory operations.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years' experience.
- Five (5) years or more of recent management experience leading a moderate size organization consisting of engineering, manufacturing and/or technical personnel
- Prior leadership experience in operations, engineering, manufacturing, program management or similar.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security SECRET clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Leadership roles with direct reports and talent development experience in a technical environment
- A great team builder with the ability to communicate clear expectations and influence teams
- 8+ years of experience in a similar leadership position.
- Cross-functional experience working across Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Factory and Program Operations.
- Experience in a manufacturing or design-related industry.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Previous experience managing large cross-functional teams and projects.
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and data analysis tools.
- Proven ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Experience in financial planning, analysis, and cost account management
- Proven technical acumen in the manufacture, test and integration of complex product technologies and systems
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

On-Site: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
