The Royal Caribbean Group's Workforce Strategy and Movement Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Manager, Employee Experience Crew Government Relations and Visa reporting to the Director, Global Crew Government Relations & Visas.

This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.

Position Summary:

This role supports the Director Global Crew Government Relations and Visas. The Sr. Manager supports and is responsible for providing strategic guidance on any Immigration, Customs or compliance issue for all employee's land & sea. They support all RCG Global offices including, Singapore, Shanghai, and Australia. Supports HRBP, Hotel & Marine Operations. Supporting, maintaining, and fostering the relationship with all U.S. and Foreign government agencies pertaining to our crew's visas, global port processing and government formalities.

Supports and manages all work permits for New Builds including contractors and shoreside employees. Supports and manages immigration, customs and sign on/off processes for crew in all 460 ports. Supports and maintains, a fosters daily relationship with Government entities and their staff. Responsible and support shoreside employees in visa guidance, visa entry, including those holding L1, H1B and ARC pertaining to New Build, Revites etc.

  • Represents the Department and RCG USDOS and CBP DC in the Directors absence
  • Supports and Manages Hotel Operations All Brands (New Build, Revites, Dry Docks, port concerns)
  • Meets with and supports Marine Operations planning(New Build, Revites, Dry Docks, port concerns)
  • Manages Ships Certificate of Insurance for all vessels (Ships COEs) Current and New Build
  • Meets & supports with global Embassy and Consulates
  • Supports Ministers of Foreign Affairs (France, Spain, Finland, Italy and Germany) -New Build Global Visa Planning.
  • CLIA US May represent RCG in absence of Director
  • CLIA EU May represent RCG in absence of Director
  • Attends HRBP shipboard fleet calls with all brands as needed to support operations and vessels
  • Supports Entertainment Scheduling Managers, Directors, and VP's (RCG Studio all deployment visas)
  • Supports Tui and Hapag-LloydVessel Managers (Port Immigration issues, Dry Dock, revites)
  • Manages all TravelMart Immigration access for all U.S. and Foreign Embassies and Consulates
  • Attends Scheduling, CRT, Operation meetings and calls supporting the global team
  • Reports out on any global Embassy, Consulate or port Immigration or Customs issues for immediate resolution
  • Provides support on all Immigration Beta programs for CAM Savings.
  • Supports all medical paroles, medical Safeguarding in conjunction with RCG Shoreside Medical team
  • Manages Visa Desk and Visa Employee
  • Managers the global processing centers data (VFS, BLS, TLS) to Embassy and Consulate Visa Sector.
  • Manages the CV vetting, supporting the T.A. group for all restricted nationalities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, International or its equivalence. Extensive Government Relations, Global Maritime Security, Crew Maritime Regulations/ Global Security experience or directly related, equivalent experience to Global Crew and Ship Immigration and Customs
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Crew HR and Crew Port operations related to Immigration and Customs protocols
  • Minimum of 5 years of Immigration and Customs experience (Global) Global knowledge of logistic movements for crew and shoreside,
  • Experience working with the U.S. and/or Foreign Governments (DC, MFA)
  • Global port administration experience is crucial (including Crew and Ship Clearance)
  • Minimum of 5 years of seaport, airport operations working knowledge for crew logistic and immigration movement
  • At least 5 years' experience managing maritime crew and ships logistics, crew movement
  • Bilingual, if possible, with fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Holds extensive understanding of and familiarity with global crew immigration policies, world events shaping the industry, sanctions, global local port immigration/customs and procedures related specifically to port operations as related to crew logistics
  • Thorough knowledge of geography, including cultural and societal drivers that directly affect business negotiations
  • Experience in successfully negotiating terms and agreements in the best interest of the company
  • Highly developed written and presentational skills; ability to clearly articulate complex messages to a variety of audiences, including senior management
  • Proven influencer and communicator who can speak with global stakeholders at all levels both internal and external
  • Tactful, resolute, and committed to providing excellent customer service; also, flexible and able to work effectively in a variety of situations, seeking improvements and looking to the future
  • Ability to plan and organize self and work in order to achieve objectives and targets; is determined to deliver outcomes and is able to overcome obstacles in order to move forward. Accountable for the delivery of outcomes, strives to meet and exceed the expectations of customers.
  • Ability to set measurable goals and objectives and to implement strategies to achieve them (often prioritizing in a high-pressure environment)
  • Ability to manage a staff in a positive and productive manner by motivating, developing, and managing employees
  • Working knowledge of computers, internet access, and the ability to use a variety software packages including, but not limited to all aspects of MS Office; familiar with social media and relevant company/brand efforts

Physical Demands:

The employee may move about the office complex, as well as various locations around the world (including Embassies, Consulates, airports, and piers). Must be able to be on call 24/7 365 or as operationally needed; includes weekend work and/or planned/unplanned domestic and international travel.

Work Environment:

This position requires extensive International and Domestic travel to meet, negotiate, facilitate with global government officials, Ministers of Foreign Affairs, State and local officials, cultivating, ensuring a current relationship with domestic and foreign entities are kept fluid. They may be required to travel by air, sea or land and hold a highly flexible schedule. This position travel percentage is 70 % international 10 % domestic and remaining 20% in office setting.
