Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Finance, Ecommerce, Data/AI, and Technology Investments will lead all financial aspects of RCG's Ecommerce, Data/AI and their respective Technology Investment portfolios. In partnership with operational leaders, the Senior Manager will lead the financial business case and scope development process for our Ecommerce. Data/AI and technology investments and influence strategic capital investment decisions. The Senior Manager will also support the operational management teams in the execution of their business objectives through superior financial management and controllership and will work closely with leadership to oversee accurate and timely forecasting, reporting, and analysis of a dynamic investment program. The position is expected to display considerable initiative, independent judgment, and leadership skills in performing financial activities such as planning and forecasting, analysis, project assessments, preliminary cost estimates, determination of capital vs. expense activities and governance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the monitoring of the financial health of large capital programs and provide frequent updates and reporting to C-suite level executives. Such capital programs include our Ecommerce and data/AI investment program as well as investment programs for large projects such as Enterprise Loyalty.
  • Manage the team responsible for the development of the financial business cases and capital appropriation requests (CARs) for large capital programs. This includes building and substantiating business cases, and once approved, tracking financial spend and updating forecasts.
  • Oversees creation and management of the Ecommerce and data/AI team's operating budget and capital budget
  • Advise management on financial initiatives and cost optimization opportunities, aligned with corporate and departmental strategy.
  • Interact frequently with CAR Managers and operational leadership to ensure timely and accurate project plans and forecasts.
  • Ensure all aspects of a project comply with Corporate policies and procedures, including proper Capital Project Approvals for new and amended initiatives as well as proper capitalization of expenses.
  • Provide support, guidance and training on the financial aspects of a project.
  • Craft effective stories, present findings, and lead discussions that lead to a common understanding with partners and executives.
  • Manage a team of internal / external professionals and be responsible for establishing clear priorities, while managing expectations in a high pace environment.
  • Responsible for overseeing the results, timelines, deliverables, and budget of high-profile programs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the broader finance community within the corporation.
  • Provide ad-hoc analyses to guide decision-making on design of future products.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
  • BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, business, analytics or other relevant discipline related to the requirements of this position.
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus
  • CPA preferred
  • 8+ years in advance business analysis and/or finance roles
  • Strong communications, ability to present confidently to senior leadership and cross functionals.
  • Able to synthesize results into concise written findings, create presentations, and communicate the strategic implications.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced culture.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong understanding of finance principles to lead management on strategic initiatives and guide analysis
  • Strong financial modeling experience, including evaluating data and determining optimal ways to spend to accomplish company goals
  • Ability to lead multiple teams effectively across multiple disciplines and levels of experience
