Position Summary:

The Onboard Revenue Manager works with shipboard HOPs team and Executive Committee, as well as shoreside Revenue Partners, to optimize onboard revenue by analyzing financial data and developing a holistic strategy by existing revenue category, and new areas of opportunity or areas to sunset. The OBR Manager will develop cross-marketing and sales strategies and support advanced commercial opportunities in line with Silversea's technical development roadmap. This position owns end-to-end implementation of strategic initiatives, on time and on budget; develops action plans to address the areas of opportunity; assesses and adjusts sales and marketing strategies. Directs, coaches, leads and motivates the onboard teams in the decision-making process and implementation of any revenue-related issues impacting on board operations. Leads and motivates supporting teams shipboard and shoreside in understanding, supporting, and implementing OBR-driving initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supports all fleet-wide shipboard teams in order to meet and exceed onboard revenue goals. Reviews revenue forecasts, actual performance and variance analysis and determine courses of action and marketing promotion plans for discussion, approval and implementation.
  • Presents and addresses revenue performance of the fleet at an overall and revenue category level at weekly and monthly financial reviews.
  • Establishes, builds and maintains relationships with Silversea's concession partners, and reviews additional vendors for partnership viability.
  • Liaises with all shoreside revenue partners on issues regarding revenue standards, pricing, revenue performance and development of new products and services, as well as operational elements such as pricing, inventory, staffing, and berthing.
  • Supports development of and owns annual revenue targets.
  • Encourages synergies between revenue partners to develop better cross promotion of products and services.
  • Develops or adjusts strategies and tactics to increase guest participation and maximize profitability of the revenue areas.
  • Analyzes current marketing promotions and guest communications and associated with revenue areas throughout the fleet.
  • Identifies new revenue ideas and programs to be developed for shipboard implementation that support corporate and Hotel Operations' strategic and operational goals.
  • Work with the Hotel Operations and Marine teams to identify the optimal scheduling opportunities for revenue related activities. In tandem with Media Manager and onboard leads, marketing, and concessionaires where relevant, ensure consistent brand standard image for guest-contact promotional materials and events.
  • This includes the promotion of onboard collateral including the digital and print Chronicles, television/electronic media, direct-to-stateroom mail, and point-of-sale displays, digital kiosks, email marketing, etc.
  • Assists Butler team leads, HDs, Guest Relations, and Knowledge Desk teams with scripting, word of mouth, advertising and activity announcements to promote revenue areas.
  • Works with Excellence team to develop and maintain standardized and consistent Onboard Revenue policies and procedures, with documented SOPs.
  • Identifies and leads the development of reports and initiatives to better leverage existing information and systems (i.e.: demographic data and personalized offers)
  • Interfaces with Silversea Marketing and Loyalty program for development of new programs as well as maintaining brand standards across our operations.
  • Works with our revenue partners in conjunction with our newbuilding department to design operational space concepts and layouts for new and revitalized ships within our fleet.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelor's recommended / MBA preferred / Experience Equivalent
  • Overall + 8 yrs work experience with minimum 3 yrs Management
  • Shipboard Operations experience
  • Travel required - 10-25%
  • Ability to interact appropriately with all levels of employees and management.
  • Ability to lead management group in brainstorming sessions.
  • Detailed and excellent knowledge of and ability to navigate within a variety of software packages including Excel, Word, PowerBi, and related programs.
  • Proven skills in financial analysis, business modeling and return on investment analysis.
  • Ability to produce and deliver clear graphs and presentations.
